Chapter 36

The realization

3th person POV
(jungkooks dreams)

Jungkook woke up on the playground of his school, the playground from second grade.
No one could see him. He walked to his favorite place on the whole ground, that castle. And in that thing, he found himself, little kookie.

"let's defeat the dragon Taetae" Jungkookie said. He sided down the slide and fitted Yoongi with his plastic sword. "Don't worry King kook, I'll protect you" hobi said.
Hobi jumped on Yoongi's back, the giggles could be heard.

A tear fell down his cheek.
They were so happy back then. Then Kookie accidentally tripped and fell. He wanted to help himself but he was hurt so much.
Jungkook suddenly felt someone running right trough him, it was Taetae.

Jungkook backed off and stared at the two kids. He saw Taehyung giving Kookie a kiss on his knee.
"better?", "better". Later Taetae carried kookie on his back and all seven played together.

Jungkook could watch this for hours. It made him so happy.
Later he saw Taehyung by a bush, he had a beautiful flower, a gardenia. 
He realised he was the blind person. Taehyung handed him the flower and Jungkook smiled.
"Thanks Taetae, Jimin would love this" Kookie said.

Then he saw his younger self running to Jiminnie. He saw Taehyung walking to the rest with a frown. When Jimin was thanking Jungkook for the gardenia, Jungkook noticed Taetae clenching his little fist, but calmed down.

Later all kids disappeared except for little kookie. The little child looked at the bigger guy.
"who are you?" The younger asked. Jungkook waked closer and shaked his little hand. "I'm you, from the future" he said. The younger looked amazed.

"wow, I'm so strong and buff! Is that a six back?!" The younger asked. The elder laughed but looked aside. "please Kookie, don't be like me.. " Jungkook said.
The younger looked confused.
"what are you then?" he asked.
"I've been avoiding someone I shouldn't.. " Jungkook replied.
"who?" The kid asked.

And then suddenly Taehyung appeared, full grown. "him" Jungkook said with a smile.
"is that Taetae?" Kookie asked. Jungkook nodded.

Taehyung was walking with a little him. There was such a bigger difference. The hair, the length,  everything.

The both of Taehyung held a flower, the flower of second grade. The gardenia. A beautiful flower Jungkook would never forget.
"Taetae looks so pretty!" Kookie said. Jungkook smiled, "he sure is".
He walked to Taehyung and gave him a hug. And so little kookie said the same by Taetae.

The Taehyung's disappeared and Jungkook slowly fell to the ground crying while holding the left over flower. Kookie patted the elders back and looked at him.
"listen kookie, stay with Taehyung, I made a huge mistake and I don't want you to make the same" Jungkook said.

And so little Taetae appeared back again. Jungkook looked at him, "go get him champ" he said. Kookie smiled and ran to Taetae. And both vanished.

Suddenly Jungkook fell down, he landed in another place.

Senior High School, valentines Day. He walked down the school and saw Jimin all fluttered by Yoongi. Jungkook watched himself staring at them, meanwhile Taehyung walked to Jungkook with a beautiful bouquet.

But the little kook didn't care and told him to go away. Taehyung accepted and walked away. He dropped the bouquet and was gone. It were flowers, all in his favorite colors.

Time skipped by, he saw himself opening his locker, a huge box of chocolates was in it with a message. "happy valentines Day Kookie, will you be my Valentine?". Jungkook knew immediately from who it was, Taehyung. 

Jungkook saw Tae standing peeking behind the wall. Jungkook walked to him and even tho he knew no one saw him, he kneeled I front the younger.
"I'm sorry Tae... For everything".

When he looked at himself he saw himself eating all the chocolate. What a rude kid he was.

Then he fell in a room. Surrounded by screens of his life. As he watched he saw Taehyung was always watching, protecting, loving him all along. Taehyung was Jungkook's guardian angel, Taehyung was Jungkook's mate all along. How could've he never noticed?!

Then all Jungkook's trough the years spawned for a moment. Surrounding the elder they all said the same thing.

"maybe you've been looking in the wrong place the entire time"

All vanished after that one phrase was said. Jungkook's eyes opened wide, he finally realised... Jimin wasn't his soulmate.. Taehyung was the one.

Jungkook walked beside all screens as he watched the moments of him and Taehyung. Jungkook started to smile as he felt the joy of the videos.

Then a bright light fell down in the room. The light became Taehyung, his silky shining silver hair waving in the wind. Jungkook stood frozen. Taehyung opened his arms and smiled. Jungkook blushed and smiling while crying he hugged Taehyung, no vanishing, no pretending but real life.

The floor became pink as the two were finnaly together. Jungkook left the past behind him, Taehyung was his soulmate, not Jimin.
He had been wrong all along.

And both hand in hand Together wakes out the door. To a beautiful place no one will know.

( real life POV )

Jungkook woke up. Taehyung was about to wake him up to get ready for graduation. But before he could say anything.

"I'M SO SORRY TAEHYUNG!" Jungkook said while hugging him tightly. "s-sorry for what?" Taehyung asked.

"I'm sorry for avoiding you all these years. I shouldn't have been such an asshole. I was to blind to see the truth, I should've known better Taehyung" Jungkook said.
Taehyung whiped his tears away.
"what are You talking about?" Taehyung asked. "The flower from second grade, the bouquet from Valentine from High School" Jungkook said.

"w-wait how do you know?" Taehyung asked. "My dream, I time traveled in our past" Jungkook explained. " I regret avoiding you Tae, I was so caught up with Jimin I was too busy that I forgot to check on you" Jungkook said.

"I shouldn't have been such a dick Tae... " Jungkook said while looking down.

Taehyung smiled, "I forgive you Kook, everyone makes mistakes" Taehyung said. And then Taehyung leaned closer and then he kissed Jungkook. His soft lips on Jungkooks lips felt so peaceful. Why hasn't he ever thought about this. Jungkook pulled Taehyung closer and kissed him.

They both giggled as they looked in eachothers eyes. "I'll promise this is going to be different Tae" Jungkook said. Taehyung smiled and kissed him one more time.

Not a kiss from passion, but real love. "Taehyung... Will you be my mate?" Jungkook asked. Taehyung started crying and said yes. Jungkook started crying too and both cuddled up together
"don't cry, everything is going to be alright" Jungkook said. Taehyung knew that but was so happy.

He knew Jungkook would realise it one day, and finnaly he did it.

Both dried their tears, washed themselves and got ready for graduation. Taehyung couldnt stop touching Jungkook, they were finnaly together.

And so, everyone's morning started good and were excited for graduation.
