Trent had always been my best friend at school and still is, but all of that changed when he finally asked me to be his girlfriend.
I've known Trent since I was very little, he grew up in the same area as me and lived two houses away from me.
I always knew that Trent was going to be a footballer as he has always been committed to the sport from a very young age and I've always supported him and guided him when he needs it the most. I always go to the matches whether that be home or away as I travel with the team.
I am now 20 and wouldn't change a single thing about Trent. I knew I've always had a crush on him even though he was my best friend and deep down I knew he felt the same way about me.
It was my 17th birthday and I got a knock at my door, I went and opened it to reveal a very handsome Trent standing there.
"Happy Birthday" he greeted
"Thank you" I said pulling him into a hug
"Come in" i then told him.
When we went inside Trent led me to my room and sat me on my bed. He told me to close my eyes and to put my hands out in which I did so. He placed a box into my hands.
"You can open them now" he said
As I opened my eyes I saw a black box in front of me, I looked up at Trent and smiled "you shouldn't of"
He just returned a smile.
As I opened the box I saw a gorgeous necklace glistening in the box, I was sat in shock. In graved onto the necklace was two diamond love hearts either side of the letters T & (the first letter of your name). I looked up at Trent confused as to why he had done that.
He came and sat next to me on the bed and took my hands in his.
"Y/N I've known you my whole life and don't know what I'd do or where I would be without you. So I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?"
"Of course Trent! I'd love to!" I beamed
With that we both leaned in a kissed for the first time, the kiss was passionate.
"I love you Trent"
"I love you too Y/N"
Three years on and myself and Trent are still going strong, and I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else.
