 "Need some help with that?"

You turned around to the unfamiliar voice, gazing up at the freakishly tall boy with extremely long hair who had asked you the question. What you said next was what you sweared to be the most intelligent thing you've ever said. "Wait- Who are you?" Wow, smooth, real smooth Y/N. You mentally slapped yourself for being such an idiot.

"Names Larry," The boy whose name was apparently Larry, glanced over at a small figure with blue hair next to him who were already picking up boxes. "and this is Sal. We both live in these apartments." The blue haired boy gave you a small wave, which you returned with a small smile.

"It's nice to meet you, Sal, Larry. Sure, I could use some help, thanks." You silently ponder how the blue haired boy could hold three boxes with one arm and still wave... "Nice to meet you too, what's your name?" Larry asked while picking up a few boxes. "My name's Y/N." You say, picking up a few smaller boxes to pile onto the two you were already carrying.

"Nice name." The boy named Sal spoke up finally after somehow balancing another box in his arms. "Thanks, my apartments 403 by the way." As soon as you said that you regretted it.

You never knew why, but ever since you were a child you would always be able to tell if something was off with someone, even if they hid it physically. You could just tell, so when you felt your heart sink in your chest, you knew something was up.

You notice Larry and Sal glance at each other before they start to carry the boxes towards the apartment, you trailing not too far behind them.

"So, why'd you move to Nockfell, Y/N?" Larry asked, and you had a suspicion he was trying to lighten the mood as you three walked into the elevator.

"Well, my dad found a better job here, and since I don't live with my mom, I had to come with him." You say, as you make a feeble attempt at the button for the fourth floor, which luckily, Sal got before you dropped your boxes on your feet.

"Why not just move out with your mother?" Larry asked, shifting the weight of the boxes so they would be easier to carry.

"She's overseas on a business trip, so I had to move with my dad instead." You say, as you notice the lack of speech from Sal

Larry just responded with a simple, 'Oh'. Besides from that the whole elevator ride was relatively silent.

The elevator made a bell noise as it opened up onto the fourth floor, where the three of you proceeded to apartment 403, where you would be staying from now on.

Once you guys got inside as set the boxes down, your father walked up to you, apparently he had just finished setting his own boxes down. "Hey Y/N, I see you've made some friends already?" He questioned casually, but you, could tell he was subtly teasing you.

You just shrug. "Met 'em like five minutes ago, so, I dunno." "Aw, come on Y/N, I'm hurt! I promise you, we are very good at being our freaky selves!" Larry put his hand over his chest dramatically, and even letting out a couple fake sobs. Sal let out a light chuckle from under that mask of his, that you hadn't paid much attention to before now, but now, taking in the details of it, you guess it's a prosthetic. So you decide to not question it.

You cracked a goofy smile at Larry as you saw your dad give you a not so subtle wink out of the corner of your eye. You give him a quick glare, your former suspicions being confirmed. You clear your throat. "Anyway, I should start unpacking." You say, looking back over at the two boys. "I guess I'll talk to you later?"

Larry nodded, "Alright then, if you ever need us my mom's the janitor of this place, and Sal lives just on the other side of the elevator from here, room 402, have fun unpacking!" Larry gives you a bright grin before leaving.

Sal waves at you as he walks to the door. "Talk to ya later, Y/N." You wave back, smiling, "Cya." And with that, the door to your new apartment closes, taking the two strange boys out along with it.

"So~." Your dad surprises you by patting you roughly on the back. "Who's the lucky one?" "Dad! Come one I just met them today! Can you ever give it a rest?" You sigh, irritated. "I'm going to unpack, and don't ask that again!."

Your dad chuckles, raising his arms defensively. "Hey, not my fault I have such a cute daughter, I'm pretty sure you would attract any boy is this run down building!" It took a second before your cheeks began to burn.

"DAAAD!!"
