Disclaimer: Nothing in this story has actually happened and is all a figment of my imagination! Enjoy c:

Sitting in a small coffee shop in California I was texting my good friend, like usual. I was visiting California for the heck of it, just to explore I guess you could say. I felt awkward being alone in a public area so I stayed on my phone the majority of the time, trying to avoid eye contact with people. Just as I was thinking about leaving I saw a tall figure in the corner of my eye walk towards me. Anxiety rushed over me and I realized I was going to have to socialize with whomever was standing in front of me. I finished sending my text and slowly glanced up hoping that they weren't looking to talk to me...

My heart stopped. This had to be a dream because never in my life would I believe this day would come. Austin Carlile was standing right in front of my table looking right at me, smiling. I couldn't breathe... I couldn't move... I was frozen and speechless.

"Hi I saw that you were sitting all alone and I noticed the shirt you're wearing." Austin finally spoke. Forgetting what I was wearing I quickly glanced down at the Of Mice and Men shirt that I was wearing. Forcing myself to speak I finally spat out the words "Thank you!"

Austin could tell how much I was struggling to make conversation so he sat down and talked for me. I could feel myself blushing which made me embarassed. "I don't think I've ever seen you here before are you new to the area?" Austin asked. I took a deep breath and managed to speak.

"Kinda, I'm just exploring California right now." Austin smiled. I was afraid of what he was going to say next. It didn't look like he was sitting here just for small talk. "Well to be honest I think you're pretty attractive and I was thinking..." He said looking me in the eyes, "could I get your number?" On the inside it felt like a herd of elephants running through me. I grabbed a napkin at an embarassingly fast speed and jotted down my phone number. I slid it acrss the table to Austin, he was smiling and I was hoping I didn't make a fool of myself with how fast I managed to do that.
