17 : On the brink of death

{A/N: Probably the longest chapter 👌👌}

3rd person's Pov:

After explaining the situation to newt , he decided to face brenda and jorge , and ask them if they are willing stay and help them.

Brenda told newt that she will be staying just to make sure thomas will be alright , same reason for jorge , but he was making sure to keep brenda safe too , for he have owned a lot of favor from him.

After deciding for their next actions , newt settled to just talk to thomas outside the rooms they are being kept. While the others wait in the bunkers. They all agreed and told newt goodluck on talking some sense to the tough shell.

They all got out , ava remaining. "You know , don't you?" She ask , upset is vissible in her face , almost like a parent that is scolding her child for keeping a secret.

"Im sorry , but I dont have much time. I don't know what else to do." He said , feeling worse for hiding the reasons for his uncaring actions.

"You know that it will only fasten the fade of it. And yet you think its the only way to remain alive?" She yelled , in a scolding tone , i hear the symphathy in every word she spoke. Her eyes looks sad , full of distress. After all , she is mad because she already knows the effects of his request of suppressing his supernatural side, and that it will only fasten the process of the fading of his life source.

"Im sorry ," is all he can say , before looking down.

She left the room , without saying any words. The silence of the room filled his ears. Its almost maddening. Newt look around the room feeling empty and lonely. Negative thoughts started to flood his mind , thinking that this will be his last moment and that he will be left all alone without any support from his friends once he start to succumb to his death.

Newt shake the thoughts away before opening the door , he pushed the wooden door open , revealing thomas that is already standing on the other side of the room. He look at the blonde in shock , fazed by the person in front of him.

They both stand there for a solid minute , staring at each other. "Thomas , please come with me..." is all newt said , and stepped out of the room.

Thomas was hesitating whether to follow the blonde or not but decided to follow him. He finally saw the outside of the room , considering he just woke up inside the isolated room after he had that sudden headache with minho and he wasn't able to figure out where they have brought him.

Newt stand in the middle of the room , not being able to face the brunnette. Truth is , he doesn't really know what to tell him , he doesn't know where to start. He hasn't established a full explanation for this conversation. He's really not ready to face the fact that thomas can't remember. But time is catching up on him and he needs to be a bit faster or he will run out of time.

"Thomas , I think you have already been told by ava about the things you're supposed to know." Newt started , he finally face thomas , he look straight at the brunette boy in front of him. Trying so hard to not break down infront of him. Thomas took a glance at him , having a serious with a hint of suspicion in his face.

Newt being able to read the meaning of the facial expressions the brunette is making , he started to smell confusion from thomas. Which is his common feeling about everything nowadays.

"So you really don't remember anything?" Newt ask , looking straight at thomas. He tried so hard to hide the pain that he is feeling but it's as if his eyes just couldn't hide it.

Thomas look at him , hesitating to tell him anything. There was a strange vission he had before waking up in that room. But he decided to not tell anyone yet.
