A cloaked figure quickly sprints down an alley, their hood casting their face in shadow. They pant heavily from running so long. Rounding a corner, the figure skids to a stop in surprise. Nearly twenty city soldiers packed the ally while they were waiting for the cloaked figure to arrive.
"There they are! Get the gold eye freak!", one of them scream out. The rouge, sometimes called Gold Eye or simply Gold, seems to almost sigh at the approaching battalion. They were almost out of the city! Gold lunges back from the first attack, drawing a silver dagger from their belt. The solider's blade is knocked to the side with the small weapon. Gold swiftly kicks him in the gut and sends him crashing to the ground. The Rouge then grabs a charging enemy, using brute strength to run him into the wall.
Gold knows that he can't keep this up. They're almost out of time. The next man to charge at him is kicked right in the knee cap. The soldier howls in pain,  the Rouge climbing on top of him. Then he jumps. Gold doubts themselves for a moment while the Rouge soars through the air. They feel like they'er too short to be reaching the roof. The doubt disappears when their hands slam into the roof's edge. Gold hauls himself up just as the remaining soldiers below realize what he's done.
The Rouge can't help but think what plebs they are for messing with their plans. They really should be better at this with how often they used to do this. Gold dashes along the rooftops, jumping over the gaps. They stumble to halt when an arrow nearly pieces their skull. Good thing they have quick reflexes! Gold falls into a roll, popping back up with a bow in their hands, two arrows notched. Gold's sharp eyes easily pick out the hidden archer in the window of nearby tower. A smirk lights up their face. The two arrows fly from their bow, burying themselves on either side of the archer's head. That should keep him from firing for a while.
The Rouge slides off the roof and down into the alley, leaving the archer's line of sight. Gold knows that he doesn't have much time left. It already took them an hour to disable all the war wagons and dump a few weapons into the well. They should be getting back soon. Gold's plan is almost complete, and the thought gives him a giddy feeling in his chest. They feel like they're finally doing something meaningful.  A yelp almost, almost, escapes their lips when a sword buries itself into the wooden building right in front of their face. Gold ducks and moves out of the way just in time to avoid a painful kick to the gut.
Think you can just run away? Why don't you stay a while and pay up for your crimes?", the soldier snaps, pulling his sword from the wall. Gold is surprised at his attire. This is not an ordinary solider, this is a battalion captain! Well, no matter. No one's been able to catch Gold as of yet. Their eyes brighten out the challenge, in fact, drawing twin short swords from their back. The captain seems annoyed at Gold's lack of audible response. The rouge honestly believes he would crap his pants at their voice.
The captain is the fIrst to move. He swipes low for Gold's legs. He doesn't get far has the twin short swords trap the captain's blade between themselves. Gold Eye duel wields his blades with deadly accuracy. One sword blocks, and the other swipes forward and makes his opponent back up. Gold sometimes thinks of it as some type of dance, their feet, arms, and glades moving in a pattern only they can decipher. The sword dance does exactly what it's made to do. The captain thought he was doing well, considering the Gold Eye criminal had not landed a blow on him. As a sword suddenly swipes for his neck, he does the only logical thing; jerks his head back. Unfortunately, Gold had backed him up into a wall. The captain hits his head hard on the wall and slumps to the ground. Out like a light.
