Chapter 6

Lexi's POV

I'm now home and Carter asked me if he could come,but I don't want him getting dragged into this mess my dad has created. I really want him to,but my dad just did something to hurt Laura and I have been holding in my anger the whole way here and Rise stayed with Aaron for sometime. I walked in and I seen Laura her eyes widened and I put my finger to my mouth,so she won't say or do anything. I looked and seen James sleeping in the couch I ran over to Laura.

"Ok I need you to go down the road to my car and wait for mom and I." She nodded and ran out the door. I went upstairs and seen my mom in here
room she seen me and tears formed in her eyes. She ran up and hugged my tightly.

"We need to go now." She nodded and we ran outside and down the road. We got to my car and I drove because we're heading back to Carter and Rose.

"I'm glad you two are ok." Laura was looking just the window and mom was still crying.

"Can I see your phone to text Hayes?" I nodded at yer and handed my phone to her and turned on the music. Shawn's song The Weight was playing and I hummed along. After two hours of silence we were finally back at the hotel. Carter andHates were waiting outside for us and I ran and jumped into Carter's arms kissing him.

"I missed you for those dew hours." He mumbled into my hair. I wrapped my arms around his torso and looked to see Laura and Hayes kissing. Mom was smiling looking at her two girls happy I felt bad for my mom. We all walked in and we all went to Carter and Hayes's room for right now. I sat on one bed with Carter and Laura say on the other bed with Hayes well our mom sat on the couch.

"Mom what are we gonna do now?" I asked and she looked like she was so lost. I sighed and leaned into Carter's side and just closed my eyes.

"I'll go back and I want Laura to go with you and Rose to California with you guys. She can start online or she can go back to public school. I"ll find a way to send money to you guys and you guys can send photos or whatever." I had tears in my eyes I knew she would say something like this.

"Mom you can't do that." Laura said hugging her I got up and did the same. The boys left the room to give us privacy. After a hour mom said there is no changing her mind,so I gave her the rest of money and she was taking a bus back. Carter came into the room and laid next to me. I'm starting ti feel distance between us and I started developing strong feelings for Taylor,but I din't know how to tell Carter. I turned to face him and he smiled leaning in,but I stopped him.

"Carter you know how sometimes people develop feelings for the other's friend,but they don't know how to tell that person about them?" I sat up he did the same looking into my eyes for a purpose behind my random question. Tears started forming in my eyes.

"Lexi what are you trying to say? Is there something you are hiding from me?" I closed my eyes looking away from him as my flashback started to replay in my head.

Flashback

Carter left to take Hayes and I decided to go down to the pool before Alyssa came over to hang. Once I got down there I seem Taylor and I smiled walking over to sit next to him.

"Ok look beautiful like always." I smiled at him and walked towards the pool with Taylor following. I sat at the edge of the pool and so did he.

"Taylor you know I'm dating Carter right?" He nodded and I laughed. I got into the pool and Taylor jumped in splashing me I started laughing and Taylor came over to me.

"Lexi I like you a lot. I really wish we could try,but I know that you and Carter are dating." I frowned and he pushed my chin up lightly. He leaned in and we started kissing. It felt different from when Carter and I kissed this kiss was filled with passion,love,regret,and sadness. I pulled away and looked into his eyes. I knew it was not right to do this to Carter,but Taylor seems so different and it just felt right. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. He was taken back at first,but wrapped his arms around my waist.
