Chapter 1

Lexi's POV

Today is my little sister Laura's 15 birthday and I decided to take her to meet Magcon. We both love them and I got VIP tickets for her. My friend is coming with us though. I get up and head to my bathroom. I brush my teeth and plug in my straightener heading back to my closet and deciding on what to wear. I grab my green long shelve shirt that says 'Genius' and my light blue skinny jeans. I put them on and put on light makeup. For a 17 year old I wear little makeup. I head back to my bathroom and straighten my hair once I finish I take a picture post it on Instagram and then put on a pair of VANS. I walk down the hall and see my little sister is already. She is wearing a long shelve shirt that says 'Love' and dark blue jeans with rips in them. Her hair was straight and she had on little makeup. She was wearing her TOMS I got her and she look amazing.

"Happy birthday sis." I said and she turned and smiled at me. I know she is probably waiting to see if dad calls or texts her. I sure hope he does even though I hate him with all my heart. We walk downstairs together and we're greeted by my mom making breakfast. I feel bad she has been working so late ever since dad left us a couple months ago.

"Morning girls and Happy birthday Laura." Mom said putting eggs on two plates and we sat at the island counter. I know how mom was worried about how she would pay to get tickets for Laura to see Magcon,so I took my money and bought tickets.

"Lexi do you have work today?"Laura asked taking a drink of her water. I smiled at her.

"Actually no I have plans for us today and tomorrow." I said and she smiled. Mom smiled at me and I am just happy that mom can relax these couple days well we're gone. I saved up more money and also Rose did too do we could spend a couple days down at Florida before I move to L.A. for my college. The door bell rang and I went to answer it.

"Hey Rose." I said once opening the door. She was wearing a long shelve shirt that says 'I'm really a unicorn' and blue jeans with VANS. Her hair was curled and she was wearing little makeup for an 18 year old. We walked in and Laura smiled at her.

"Happy birthday." Rose said hugging Laura. They get along great and Rose came to visit before she heads back to L.A. She graduated last year and is taking college down there. After Laura and I finished eating we all went to the living room,so Laura could open her presents. I handed her a small box and she smiled. She opened it squealed and hugged mom.

"Thank you thank you thank you." She said letting go of mom and pulling the iPhone out of the box and she got $500 to spend on whatever she wanted. I helped mom with this,but I l'm glad I did. I would do anything for my sister. Next was my present I handed her the envelope and she gave me a weird look. I smiled and she opened it and her eyes to wide when she pulled out the ticket.

"You didn't." She said looking at me.

"Oh,but I did." I said and she hugged me really tight. I laughed once she pulled away.

"Wait if this is today how come we did not leave yet?" She asked then looked back at the clock and it was only 10 in the morning. Mom already got her iPhone charged and set up and she just needs to get her friend's phone numbers.

"Laura you need to pack clothes for three days because we're staying for a couple." I say and she squeals and runs back to her room.

Laura's POV

I grab my bag and start packing clothes when my phone goes off. I look at it weird before realizing mom set numbers in the phone already. I looked a couple times at the name and smiled.

Dad- Happy birthday. Your finally 15 and have fun with your sister at Magcon.

Me- Thanks daddy and I will!!

I finish packing before putting on my coat and heading downstairs. Everyone is still down there.

"Mom dad texted me." I say and Lexi takes a deep breath and smiles at me.

"That's great Laura and we're leaving now." Lexi says and I hug mom and walk out to Lexi's car and getting ready for a long ride.
