[Maddox].

I woke up early like every other day. I was a runner so that meant that I had to be up before the other gladers. I had to eat and be by the maze doors before they opened.

Sliding on my black combat boots, I stood up from my hammock, while stretching my back.
I head straight to the kitchen, I would always wake up famished.

Minho, Ben and some of the other runners were seated on a picnic table, already eating their breakfast. I took mine from Fry and joined them.

"Hey Maddy" Jack said when I sat beside him, wrapping an arm around my waist, that I immediately shook off. He had become a runner recently, I never really talk much with him.

"Hey"

"You wanna go with m-"

"You're running with me today." Minho suddenly said, looking straight at me, not even letting Jack finished his sentence. Rude much?

"Why? I have to map section 6."

"Not anymore. I found something. And you and I are gonna take a closer look."

"What is it?"
I was really curious, I've been in the glade for almost three years and yet we didn't find anything that could get us closer to finding a way out.

"You'll see when I show you" he said with an amused expression.

"I shucking hate you" I playfully glared at him.

"That's impossible, you love me."

"Keep telling yourself that"
After that, we keep chatting while finishing our breakfast.

"Alright guys let's go" Minho said, standing up from his seat.

"I will go in a minute" I said to them.

"Are you cowering now Mad?" he crossed his arms in front of his well-defined chest.

"No but I need to pee, can I?" I asked while raising an eyebrow at him.
That seems to shut him up. I walk away from them to do my business. Once I was done I headed to the maze doors and waited with the guys from them to open.

Me and Minho had been running for maybe an hour. The sound of our feet pounding on the stone floor echoed through the long maze corridors.
