"Is she gonna come down?!" I pounce up from the beanbag and glance from one side to the room to the other repeatedly. "Shit, she's gonna know we've been smoking pot, Michael!" I lightly jog towards him to the other side of the room and stare up the basement stairs which lead to the group floor of the house.

"She won't care about the pot, promise." He reassures me once again and places his hands on my shoulders and goes to pull me in but prevents himself from doing so, something had stopped him. "The paranoia of the weed is just getting to your head, don't panic."

I take deep breaths and close my eyes, opening them after 10 seconds.

"Michael!!" We hear the voice yell again.

"Stay here, I'll tell her I'm down here." Michael paces up the steps and opens the door, "I'm here, mom, no need to worry!" he says happily.

"It's really starting to smell down there, Michael, you need to clean it soon and get rid of that smell!" I hear his mom telling him, obviously about the weed.

"Yes, mom" I hear him groan and close the door and run back downstairs. "Well sorry to break it to you but you won't be leaving for another 6 hours".

Six hours?! I proceed to tell him I can't as Evan asked me to be back for 5. The guilt comes flowing to my head and I can't stop thinking about the things I promised Evan and my mom before I moved in with him.

"My moms are going to sleep at 10 so unfortunately you'll have to stay, unless you find it fortunate." He winks playfully and I giggle whilst shaking my head.

"Let me message Evan first then and we can talk for the remaining hours we have trapped in here".

Hey, Evan?

Yeah?

I'm so sorry but i can't come home until 10-ish...

Y/N...
Please tell me you're joking

It's a long story, i'll explain when I'm home, I'll stay safe. Promise.

Y/N please watch what you're doing, I'll leave a spare key under the plant pot on the door step

Thank you :)

Don't be any later please!

I place the phone down on the table and turn towards Michael, he's lightly smiling at me. I smile back and he keeps looking me in the eyes.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I giggle and rub my eyes and give a look to say 'is it gone?'.

We both stand staring at each other and Michael continues to look at me and he suddenly caresses my face and takes his thumb and rubs it under my left eye and just smiles at me for a second while holding the left side of my face still. I move my hand up to his and places it onto of his as we look each other in the eyes.

I gigle and pull away but still smiling at him. I have a sudden new feelings for him except in a way they were never sudden. The feelings have been running around in my head almost ever since I met Michael but they were creeping up on me, slowing growing for him.

My eyes begin to feel heavy and gradually begin to close as me and Michael chill out together. I slowly turn to Michael and proceed to ask.

"Hey Michael? I'm really tired and drowsy, can I take a rest anywhere?" I ask him softly.

"Yeah of course! The sofa in the corner is pretty comfortable, I'll get you a blanket out of the drawers!" He opens a drawer where his tv stands on and pulls out a long, black, fluffy blanket with a average sized bed pillow. "Here" he hands them to them softly.

"Thanks, if I'm not awake by nine will you wake me up please? I wouldn't want to worry Evan more than he already is" I place the pillow behind my head and adjust myself on the sofa to a comfortable position.

"Don't you worry, although you may awake by me playing Apocalypse Of The Damned!" we share a giggle and I close my eyes.

MICHAEL'S POV

I sit on the edge of the sofa beside Y/N's feet as she slips into a deep sleep and I tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear in case it awakes her slumber and i slightly smile.

"I do like you Y/N but i really don't wanna move things too fast with you, I don't want to hurt you or to ruin our friendship. I especially don't want to push Jeremy away, hell he's my best friend.... but you're my friend too and I shouldn't hide how I feel because you don't deserve to hear lies about the way I feel about you because you're a good person from what I've saw" I turn my head from the door and look at Y/N with a gentle smile. I stand up and walk over to the bean bag and sit down.

I switch my console on to play Apocalypse Of The Damned and begin level nine: The Cafetorium.

*TIME SKIPPPP*

Y/N'S POV

I naturally wake up by instinct and I take my phone and check the time, it's 8:53 at night and I stand up and collect my things into my bag.

"Leaving me already?! wow you're mean!" Michael says playfully while pounding on me from behind. He acts as if we've been friends for years and it makes me feel trusted, accepted and just a loved friend. I reach behind me with my right hand and gently push him off.

"Yeah unfortunately for you I am, and I'm never coming back!" I playfully say back to him. He gasps and places his hand over his chest.

Me and Michael talk until the time reaches 9:27 and Michael shouts up to see if his moms are asleep.

"The coast is clear!" I shake my head but giggle at how stupid he was acting in the moment, like a goofy James Bond. We head towards the front door and he slowly unlocks the door. "Your carriage awaits, young mistress" he points to his PT Cruiser, I can't help but laugh. We link arms and stroll to the 'carriage'.
