Rich
What was that you were smoking, Y/N? Could that have been the devil's lettuce?! You wouldn't want the school to find out, would you?

Y/N
And why do you think I would be smoking "the devil's lettuce", Rich?

Rich
I can smell it

I look around and Rich is at least 10 metres away, no way he could smell it. I debunk his message straight away.

Y/N
1) you are nowhere near me or the car
2) you're just saying this to mess with my head, now piss off, asshole.

Rich
I'm just messing with you, Y/N/N.

Nobody has ever called me that but my mom and dad, I haven't heard that since.. whatever. I stare at my phone in awe, my heart melts but melting turns to anger, I ignore it.

"You okay?" Michael wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me in for a short hug, he is so sweet and pure to me, I've never known anyone like it.

"I'm great, better than ever" I look up at Michael and just smile at him and he smiles back at me, he is perfect.

Rich
No way, you and Michael are a thing?!

Y/N
Rich, I am about to block your number.

Rich
Okay, okay! I'm sorry!

He doesn't message me again today after the message I sent to him about leaving me alone. It's a huge relief not to be pestered by him, I have no clue what he could want and I don't want to know.

Me and Michael make our way into the school and as per usual nobody pays attention to us, I loved being in the shadows of high school, you usually stay out of drama and you have nobody bothering you.

"So, did you enjoy last night? I kept thinking you didn't, I got paranoid like hell" Michael asks me as we carry on walking forward towards our lockers, why didn't he think I enjoyed it? I loved it, it was one of the best nights of my life.

"Michael, it was a amazing, I love every second of it. I'm glad I was with you and nobody else" I tell him back and I see him in the corner of my eye look and me for a second and smile.

We reach our lockers and I open my locker to find a note, I open it and it's for everyone signed up for play rehearsal, it reads:

Hello all!

For everyone signed up to play rehearsal then every play rehearsal is on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting tonight. Thursdays are optional but if you do not attend Tuesdays without warning then you get a strike, two strikes and you're out, sorry! And if this ended up in the wrong locker then.. oops!

Sincerely,
Christine Canigula.

"Every Tuesday? That's not that bad especially since we don't have to go on a Thursday, we get more time to spend together!" I beam with joy at Michael, the thought of spending more time with him fills me with delight. He nods and head and just laughs, I can tell he loves seeing me happy.

"So, Y/N/N, you still up for play rehearsal? First practice is tonight" I slightly wince at the name but try not to show it.

"Yeah I'm still up, I mean I've got nothing to do in my free time anyways except random homework which can wait I guess" I slightly chuckle at myself and I make Michael chuckle too, I guess it's contagious.

"We should go to the theatre department then cause I have no clue what it looks like, I don't think I've ever even been there, I might have once but whatever. You wanna check it out? We have time before our first lessons starts" Michael asks and I just agree, since I've not been at this high school long I, myself, have not saw the theatre department so it will
be a nice surprise.

We get there and don't see anybody. Michael calls out a gentle 'hello', not too loud or quiet but it was loud enough for anyone it hear. Nobody responds so we enter and take a glance around.

I turn my back away from Michael for a second and he picks up some sort of halloween mask, he puts it on his head.

"Hey so-" I turn back around and let out a sequel, I feel as if I just saw a ghost.. literally! "Michael!" I take a deep breath as Michael almost collapses to the floor, laughing.

"I-I'm sorry it was just funny" He manages to let out through laughter, he extends his arms around me, pulls me in and hugs me. I start to laugh at it too.

"Oh hey, play rehearsal is actually after school hours not before school hours, sorry" Christine pops around the curtains on the stage and me and Michael turn towards her and stare, gormlessly. "Cat got ya tounge?" She jokingly says leaping off the stage towards us.

"So who else signed up, Christine?" Michael asks, he sounds so shocked at the fact somebody was here.

"Oh just the usual; Madilyn, Jake, Chloe, Me obviously, Brooke and I think Rich too. It's a complete handful of different Cliques this year! How exciting! You're not very talkative, you must be a virgin!" She turns towards me, why does she assume I'm a virgin.

"I- uhhh-" I'm lost for words.

"You're first play rehearsal! You never forget your first!" She puts her hand on my shoulder and laughs, I join in with her and awkwardly laugh back with her and Michael laughs of how embarrassed I look. "I'm sorry, what's your name?"

"Y/N, I haven't been at this school for long so that's probably why you don't know me" I wipe my sweaty hands on my jeans, I hope she doesn't see.

"Well I'M Christine but you already know that, duh!" I soon realise that Christine isn't that typical bitchy popular girl, she's funny, sarcastic and sweet. "Michael, is it?"

"Y-yeah it is, I used to be good friend with Jeremy, you know him, right?" Poor Michael, I see he still cares about Jeremy, he just wants to make sure he is okay, I brush his hand slightly wish mine for comfort.

"Ah.. Jeremy.. I know him, I've actually heard him talking about you to Brooke" She tells us, I can tell Michael is getting worked up, thankfully the bells rings.

"We'll see you after school, okay? See you!" I pulls Michael out of there and wave to Christine.

"See ya!" She shouts back as we walk away.
