It was 9:00pm when Livin iT and Mikey finally left the venue. Each one of them bursting with excitement for the next day.

"I can't believe it's tomorrow!" Aiden smiled widely.

Mikey smiled, "It's going to be sick!"

"They won't know what hit them!" Max cheered.

Mikey waved bye to the Livin iT boys and walked into their hotel.

Mikey walked past the front desk and made his way to the elevator. In the elevator the conversation he had with Max earlier in the day came back into his mind.

Max can't be right... right? He thought. Rye couldn't like me... could he? He ran a hand through his hair. No, can't be. He looks at everyone like that. Rye just has that intense stare about him. Mikey laughed, but the small voice in the back of his head asked, do you even believe yourself?

The elevator door opened on his floor and he stepped out. He looked at his watch, saw it was 10:00pm. He made his way to Rye and Jack's room and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Jack asked.

"Me," Mikey answered.

The door opened a second later to reveal a Rye instead of a Jack.

Rye grabbed Mikey's arms and pulled him into the room. He put his arms around Mikey's shoulders and gave him a hug.

"How was your talk with Max?" Rye asked. Secretly pleased that Mikey remembered to come to his and Jack's room before going to bed.

"Ummm," Mikey absentmindedly hugged Rye back and then let go.

Rye turned his head to look directly into Mikey's eyes, "What?" Rye scanned his face, "Are you okay, Mike?"

"Yeah, yeah," Mikey avoided Rye's eyes. Mikey walked further into the room and sat on the side of Jack's bed that is next to Rye's.

Rye watched him and crossed his arms, "Then why did you sit on Jack's bed instead of mine?"

Mikey looked down to see where he sat and he was in fact on Jack's bed. "Umm.." Mikey began.

"Why are you being like this?" Rye asked as he walked towards Mikey and sat across from Mikey on his bed.

"I'm not being like anything," Mikey answered.

Rye raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"I just had an interesting conversation with Max and I don't know what to make of it," Mikey reluctantly answered.

"What was the conversation about?" Rye asked softly. He didn't like how distant Mikey was being, but he also didn't want to pressure him into saying something he wasn't ready to say.

Mikey's face went red, "Um, well, um, he said..." he took a deep breath and closed his eyes, "I don't know exactly, I'm still processing."

"I can help with that," Rye softly set a hand on Mikey's, "Two minds work better than one."

Mikey opened his eyes and stared at Rye's hand on his. Unless that mind is the one you're trying to figure out, he thought and sighed. Then his eyes widened, "You're right!" He stood up and Rye's hand fell from Mikey's. "Talk to you tomorrow!" He makes his way out of the room.

"Wait, Mikey!" Rye stood up and followed him, "Where are you going?"

"Brook and I are going to go get some food," Mikey said. He opened the door and began walking towards his, Andy and Brooklyn's room.

"You are really leaving like this?" Rye followed him. Mikey is really going to leave him in suspense like this.

That stopped and turned Mikey around, "Nothing's wrong," he said softly and pulled Rye into a hug, then let go before Rye could hug him back.

"Mikey..." Rye began.

Mikey opened his room door before Rye could finish the sentence, "Brooklyn!"

Brook looked up from his phone, "Yeah mate?"

"We're going to get food," Mikey walked towards him and stood near him.

"Oh you and Rye? Have fun!" He looked back down and his phone.

"No," Mikey said a little too quickly and both Brooklyn and Rye looked at him strangely, "You and me, Brook."

Brooklyn looked between Rye and Mikey. Then he glanced again at Mikey and saw the strangest expression on his face, so he stood up and said, "Alright, let's go."

"Seriously?" Rye crossed his arms. "You'll talk to him, but not to me?"

Mikey winced. He was making Rye angry, but he knew to really clearly think, he had to. "Brook and I are overdue for a dinner date," he answered. It was true, but that was not the case for what was about to go down.

Rye raised an eyebrow, "So all you're going to do at this "dinner date"," he made quotations around the words "dinner date," "is eat?"

Brooklyn walked towards Mikey and they both slowly began to backwards walk away from Rye, "Yeah, and talk, so there's no awkward silence," Mikey said quickly, with his hands on the doorknob.

Rye followed them towards the door, his arms were narrowed and he was frowning. "Michael Patrick Cobban...."

That was Mikey's queue to leave, he quickly opened the door, pushed Brooklyn out of it and went out after him. He grabbed Brooklyn's arm and ran, Brooklyn following after him.

"Love you, Ryan, nothing's wrong, we'll talk tomorrow!" Mikey shouted behind him but didn't slow his pace.

Mikey heard the door slam and he winced again.

"He'll have my head tomorrow," he mumbled. He didn't slow his pace until him and Brooklyn were both outside of the hotel and out of breath.

"You want to," Brooklyn panted, "tell me, what that was all about?"

"Could we get food first? I'm actually hungry," Mikey rubbed the back of his head.

"Fine," Brooklyn said, "Food, and then you're talking, mate."
