Taehyung P.O.V.
December 31st
11:45amToday was the last day I would be able to spend with Jeon Jeongguk because I was moving away to Incheon. He called me last night and told me to meet him at the park across the street from his house at noon. He was already there when I arrived. He saw me and ran over to hug me. I smiled widely and fought back the tears, knowing that I would never see this bunny ever again. I cried for weeks after my mother and father told me we were moving away. My father owned one of the largest companies in South Korea and it was easier for him to move to keep the company running. I begged him to allow me to stay with a friend so I wouldn't have to leave behind all I had ever known but he declined.
Jeongguk pulled me to the ground in a hug and giggled. I loved seeing his smile and hearing his cute childlike giggle. I knew that's what I was going to miss most of all. He always made me smile even on the darkest days and always helped me to see the bright side of things. His famous "It's what was meant to happen" phrase reminded me that I was destined to be away from him. I just didn't understand why at the time and hoped I never would understand. My father, mother, and I had spent the whole night packing and loading boxes into the moving truck. I started to cry silently as I got into the truck as well. I missed Jeongguk already even though I hadn't left Busan yet. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a boy running up my driveway. I opened the truck door and ran towards him. I hugged him tightly and cried harder.
"I'll miss you so much Kookie, but please never forget me. I'll come back someday, I promise I will. Just don't forget me."
I reached into my coat pocket and pulled out the photo we had taken the day before. I ripped it in half and handed him the half with my face on it before putting the picture of him back in my coat pocket. I hugged him tightly again and tried to stop crying. He smiled and hugged back. I knew he wouldn't forget me after all we had been through together. My mother pulled me away from him and towards the truck. I collapsed at her feet and cried even harder. Jeongguk turned and walked back down my driveway and disappeared as he rounded the corner. My mother dragged me towards the truck and helped me get back into it.
My face was red from crying and from being in the cold for so long. The whole drive to Incheon was silent. My father and mother were angry with me because of the way I acted when I was forced to say goodbye to Jeongguk but I didn't care anymore. My best friend, almost little brother, had just been taken out of my life forever. I pulled out my phone and headphones, placing them in my ears and started to play music to keep myself calm. When we arrived in Incheon seven hours later, I had fallen asleep crying. My mother woke me up to help unload the boxes from the moving truck. Tears were still falling from my eyes and I could no longer control it. I hated my father for making me leave behind the only friend I ever had. I unloaded all the boxes with the help of my father and then went to my new bedroom, slamming the door. I laid on the cold, hard floor and cried. My father came up to my room to make me help unpack but my mother stopped him. My father came into my room anyway but not to make me help. He just wanted to talk to me.
"Hey Tae, You ok?" he asked in a soft tone.
"No. I hate you and this stupid house! I just wanted to stay with Jeongguk!"My father raised his hand and slapped me across the face. He always did that if I disrespected him in any way. I stood up off the floor, grabbing my phone and wallet. I ran out of the house, into the night. I ran so far away that there was no way my father could have followed me. I took out my phone and called Jeongguk's mother while running as fast as I could. His mother answered the phone and gave it to Jeongguk.
"Hey Kookie, I'll be at your house in the morning."
"What?! You're coming back?!"
"Yes. Don't tell anyone about it, not even your mom."I ended the call after twenty minutes and turned off my phone. I ran to the train station and bought a train ticket for the next train heading to Busan, South Korea. The ticket costed half of my savings but I didn't care, I just needed to get back to Jeongguk. My father drove up to the train station and yelled my name but I ignored him. My mother was also in the car. She got out and ran up to me, pulling me away from the train. She took me to the car and made me get in. Once I got into the backseat, my father started yelling at me and trying to beat me from the front seat. I tried to get out but the car doors had been locked so I wasn't able to.

Eight Years Later
May 15thI received a phone call from someone claiming to know who I was from about ten years ago. I didn't have any idea who would be calling me back after ten years but I told the person I would meet them at Busan tomorrow. After calling my girlfriend, Jieun, I bought train tickets for the both of us to go meet the mysterious person tomorrow.
The next morning, I got up and dressed. The thought of who this person was had never left the front of my mind, even as I slept. My girlfriend arrived at my house and we drove to the train station. I parked the car as Jieun waited for out train number to be called so we could board.
Seeing the man in all black standing near the tree where I was requested to meet with a man i didn't know. He looked up and laughed to himself as I walked up with my girlfriend. I extended my hand for him to shake but he didn't take it, focusing on something ahead."You know Tae, you haven't changed at all since you left. It's kind of funny that you would pack up and leave on day, call me the same night and say that you were coming back but never come. You didn't even bother to call me and tell me what happened to you" The man said. "How old are you now? 18?"
I was stunned by what this man was saying. How did he know these things? "Who exactly are you and what do you want?" I asked, grabbing the knife in my pocket but not pulling it out. My girlfriend stopped me and pulled my hand from my pocket, holding it.
"Shocking. You don't remember me. Who do you think I am? A stalker? Not hardly, I'm Jungkook, remember me now? The boy you confessed your undying love to when you were like 12. I can't believe you left and got a girlfriend. I told you that I would be your boyfriend, was I not what you wanted!?" He yelled before running off with tears in his eyes.
"Kookie...I can't believe it..." I ran after him, grabbing him by the back of the shirt. I hugged him tightly and cried. "I thought you died..."
