"You ok?" For the 3 day in a row I was puking, and for the third day, Will was taking my hair out of my hands holding it for me and rubbing my back."I'm fine."
"Babe, this is the third day in a row you have been puking almost constantly."
"Huge over-exaggeration there."
"You know what I mean Alexandria."
"It's probably just something I ate, I'll be ok Will."
"Baby-"
"If it keeps up I'll get it checked out ok."
"Promise?"
"Yes. Now get dressed you have a speech to go do and Pope is going to be there remember?" Pope was one of our military guys. He had called saying he really needed to talk to us. Of course, we were running late, Mr. We have enough time, promise we won't be late.
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah, yeah, told ya we'd be late." I said stopping to open the door. Will deliberately ran into me holding my hips bending his head to my ear, his velvety smooth voice drifting in my ear.
"What can I say, you're pretty irresistible."
As I was watching his speech someone tapped my leg. Turning my head I saw Pope and smiled motioning him to sit down. As he took a seat he turned and hugged me.
"Hey, nice to see you, how you been?" He asked glancing at Will.
"Good, you?"
"Eh, busy." I nodded as we watched Will, as he was done he walked towards us and Pope jumped up and they embraced. I thought Will looked good today, and then again when did he not. But he had on jeans and a blue polo, his tattoos on display.
"How many times you give that speech?' He asked smirking at Will, he always had this habit of counting everything, he was a little OCD about it but the good thing was I was never that chick who had to worry about a missed anniversary or anything.
"It'll be 173."
"Still keeping track of everything in your life?"
"Of course."
"It's a good speech."
"Thank you."
"How you been?"
"I'm okay, wouldn't be without her." I was acting like I was on my phone but was listening to their conversation, probably something they both truthfully were aware of. I saw Pope's head move as he nodded. I loved the military wouldn't trade it and my time for anything in the world but that shit is rough and no one really understands the fucked up shit we had to see and do over there. Truthfully no one but fellow servicemen can.
"You get my text?"
"Yeah." Will said looking behind him at the people in the room. He turned to nod at me as I got up and we all walked out, Will's hand immediately gripping my own as Pope smiled.
"So what's ya'lls take?"
"Who else do you have?" I questioned.
Will had shown me a text he got from Pope talking about this plan to rob some cartel asshole down in South America with a ton of money, I was skeptical but after we talked about it we decided to at least go feel the situation out and if at any time one of us wanted to pull out and it was still an option the both of us would leave then and there.
"Came to you guys first." Will glanced down at me silently asking me what to do. I nodded squeezing his hand as he started to speak.
"If you can get Redfly, I'll do it." He said turning as Pope stopped.
"Really? You think he's up for it?"
"We owe him, besides it's always a little harder than what you think it's going to be, right?"
"Get the Captain, and we're in." I said hitting his chest before grabbing Will's hand and walking off. As we got to the car he opened the door for me.
"Oooh and they say chivalry is dead."
"Just trying."
"Still going to your brother's fight?"
"Always."
"What do you think he's going to say about this?"
"He'll be ready to go before Pope has the sentence all the way out of his mouth. What do you think?"
"I mean, it's a lot of money baby, and just a reconnaissance mission but I really think he's hiding some intel and once we get there it won't be just reconnaissance." Will nodded kissing my hand as he drove to where his brothers' fight was.
