After waiting what seemed like forever for Spring Break to approach it was finally here .
While everyone was spending their break boo'd up I was going to spend mines with Tamika and at my new job at Wendy's that I recently applied for .
I definitely didn't like this depending on other people shit . I was appreciative with the help I did have but growing up with a single mom who raised two girls and did what she had to do with no handouts , doing shit independently I wanted to be just like that . I was always taught it was better to earn shit so a motherfucker couldn't throw it in your face what they've done for you or gave you .
Having a job was gonna keep me paid , occupied and thankfully out the house with Nicky fake ass . Since ending things with Kentrell I stopped fucking with her as well . Sister or not , it was just some shit you don't do and one of those things were always trying to tear me down . Her ass wouldn't know what loyalty was if it smacked her up in ha' shit .
Once word got out that Kentrell and I were done everybody had something to say but I really didn't give a fuck and obviously Kentrell didn't either . By his recent posts and lives on Instagram he was living his best life being a single man and I was too .
It had been 2 weeks since we broke up or even seen each other so I prayed that he wasn't over Tamika house since that's where I was getting ready to go .
We decided to treat ourselves today since it was the first day of Spring break and lord knows we needed it since school was taking a toll on us .
Combing my 22' inches with my fingers I analyzed myself in the mirror debating if this what really what I wanted to wear today .
I wore a black fitted strapless dress with my black and white Chanel fur slides . I wore a necklace with my name on it around my neck as well . Biting the inside of my jaw as I thought long and hard my thoughts were interrupted with the ringing on my phone .
Once I saw it was Tamika calling I quickly answered balancing the phone between my ear and shoulder as I sprayed on some fragrance .
" Change of plans . We gotta wait a good hour or two to do anything . " Tamika sighed sounding frustrated .
" Why ? " I asked curious to know what was holding us back .
