The next day at school, I slipped a note in Anthony's locker, hoping he would see it and find me. It read:

Let's talk about it. Come to my house after school. Text me first.

After I slipped the note in his locker, I went to have lunch with Gina and Rose. I told them all about our fight and the breakup.

"You guys broke up! But it was only your first day of dating!" Gina shrieked.

"I don't think he was right for you." Rose said.

"Yeah I was shocked too, but I think he is right for me. He was caring, loving, funny, smart and was so cute and dreamy."

Suddenly, a pile of books toppled to the floor, and behind it emerged Anthony.

"Anthony! What are you doing here! Did you hear what I said?" I said, shocked.

"Uh-um no I didn't hear you talk. Yeah I didn't. I was checking out b-books." He stammered.

"No! You were spying on us!" I said angrily.

"Yeah, I thought I saw someone behind those books!"yelled Rose.

"Why are you here?" questioned Gina.

"Get out, get out! I don't want to see you anymore! Maybe we shouldn't meet after school, anymore!" I screamed, throwing a book at him. The librarian and a couple of the kids started coming over to see the commotion, but I didn't care. I was giving Anthony a piece of my mind.

"You may be funny and cute but down inside your a rotten sewage animal! We are not meeting up after school! And I never want to see you again!"
I stormed off and at that moment I hated him. I hated everyone and he hated me just because I was a mermaid. I could tell he was hurt but that's what he deserved.

He hurt me and in return, I have to hurt him. He broke my heart so I'll break his.

But how?

David! I'll date David! That'll make Anthony jealous. Perfect!

During second period I walked up to David.

Swallowing my pride I said, "David, will you go out with me?"

His eyes went wide with surprise, and looked at me.

"You like me?" He said.

"Yes, I've always liked you," I lied.

I kinda felt bad about it, but I needed to in order to make Anthony jealous.
I had a plan. David and I would go on a few dates and that'll make Anthony jealous for sure. After our third date I will break up with David.

Then Anthony will be begging for me back.

"Cool, me too," David said.

"So when the date?" I asked.

"How about tonight at 7:00? I can pick you up,"He offered.

"Sure! That would be great!" I said.

"Alright see you tonight."

"See you!" I giggled.

Later, when I got home from school I saw I had a text from Anthony.

Anthony: Hey Aquaria, let's talk about it. I'm sorry I snapped, i just really miss my mother. Can I come over at 7?

It's the perfect time to tell him I'm on a date. But I'm going to do it subtly so he doesn't suspect anything.

Me: Sorry, won't be home. Going on a date.

Anthony: what? With who?

Haha, he's gonna be so heated.

Me: David.

He never responded. My message said "read" though.

That felt so good to let out my anger. He's gonna be so jealous and he's gonna want me back soon.

I started to get ready for my date.

I pulled out a cute black dress I thought was perfect for the date. I put it on and applied a little mascara.

Normally, I don't wear a lot of makeup, just mascara mostly. Sometimes I wear chapstick too.

When I was perfecting my makeup, the doorbell rang and ,y phone dinged at the same time.

David: I'm here;)

I rushed down and opened the door.

David honestly looked good though. The place for our date was a walking distance, so we began our trek.

"You look good today," he said.

"So do you," I replied.

After some small talk, I realized he wasn't my type at all. He was kind of aggressive and strict.

When I accidently out my elbow on the table he yelled at me. When I slipped my soup, he scolded me.

I mean, don't don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a wonderful friend, just not a romantic parter.

After we were done eating he offered to take me to the beach.

I had no choice but to agree if I wanted to make Anthony jealous.

I sighed. These are going to be a long few dates.
