Groggily, I got up from my bed and let Anthony in.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

He climbed in though my window.

"I wanted to apologize for earlier. I didn't mean to react like that. I just really miss my mom. I regret breaking up."

"Well, sorry you had you're chance. You broke my heart."

"No, I'm sorry! Please forgive me." He begged.

Even though he looked so handsome, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

"I'm sorry, I found my real love with David."

His eyes shone in the darkness and he looked hurt.

"No please, I'm better for you. Please!"

I'm so sorry I had to do that, but I had too.

I'll just be a few dates with David, until I break up with him. The I'll run back to Anthony. This is his punishment for breaking my heart.

"Leave! Now," I said, gritting my teeth.

With tears in his eyes, he left my room. Leaving me to my own thoughts.

Tomorrow, I'm supposed to have another date with Dave.

I really don't like him. He's kind of rude, and he treats me like a friend, not a girlfriend. Nevertheless, I have to do that.

But it was kind of strange that David was talking about mermaids, and looked suspicious.

Was he stalking me?

I think he is.

What if he finds out I'm a mermaid and hurts me?

I'm supposed to go to his house tomorrow.

No, it okay, just be careful. Stay strong.

I climbed back into bed and tried not to think about tomorrow's date with David. I can't wait to break up with him and go to my dream boy!

Am I doing the right thing? Should I just dump Dave now? Anthony is still open for me.

What should I do?

I was fading in and out of consciousness, with those thoughts still swimming in my head.

I don't know what to do anymore. What's wrong with me?

Stay strong, you're going to date David two more times. Just two more times. That's all. You can do this.

I really hope I wasn't wrong.
