Chapter 6: Koga Tries To Bring Chiyo Back!

A rock theme begins as Chiyo is shown turning as her black hair waves in the wind. As the music changes, her eyes are zoomed in to show sad looking eyes. "What should I protect?" The title is shown before it fades away to show Chiyo standing with Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara. "Without a doubt, there was only one thing: An echoing cry, a sound made in vain within the deep forest." Kagome is shown running over to them and Shippo jumps down to the ground from Sango's Hiraikotsu and smiles up at Kagome. The music changes as Koga is shown with gritted teeth as he growled. "The reason I could hold back my tears, was because of the warmth when our fingers touched!" The music speeds up and Chiyo is shown standing alone as the wind is shown blowing her hair and she held her arms up to stop it. "A future without you is a future without meaning!" Koga is shown jumping over to attack Kagura before Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippo also appear and attack at Kagura, Kanna and Naraku. "I'll never let go of you again!" Light flashes and Sesshomaru is shown walking with Rin and Jaken before a woman with duel-colored eyes and black hair flashes like a ghost while she looked to be sleeping before Sesshomaru is shown multiple times wielding one of his three swords. "The world I see with you is a world I've never seen before!" Light flashes and Chiyo is shown either playing with Inuyasha's ears, Shippo's tail or Kirara in general while the others just laughed at Inuyasha getting angry. "We travel across time and space on a distant journey!" Light flashes as Chiyo and Koga are shown back to back as Koga wields metal claws on his right hand while he looked to be growling. The music slows down as the two fade to silhouettes and the title is shown.

The following day, Kagome heads home because she was mad at Inuyasha. The others return to Kaede's village to wait. Chiyo and Inuyasha argue because Chiyo wouldn't say what was up with her and Koga. Kagome was on Chiyo's side so that was why Inuyasha and Kagome were fighting.

[Meanwhile]

Koga sits surrounded by some of his wolves while he was healing. He looks up when some Northern Mountain tribe members show up. They proposition teaming up to go after a tribe. Koga declines their offer because he had a goal in mind. He wanted to bring Chiyo back so that the two of them could get to know one another like she suggested.

[Later]

Kagome and Chiyo walk ahead of the group while Inuyasha was still in a mood. Miroku walked beside Inuyasha simply so he could gaze that the rear ends of the three girls in front of them.

"We're tracking a demon bear that attacked a village?" Sango asks.

"According to one of the survivors, yes." Miroku says, "He said it started out as just a mischievous cub ruining the fields but then suddenly it grew huge and attacked the village. Inuyasha, why are you looking so displeased?"

"Why waste my time hunting a bear when I can hunt wolf?" Inuyasha asks.

"You're not hunting any wolves and that's final." Chiyo yells.

"And why the hell not?!" Inuyasha asks.

"BECAUSE HE'S MY FRIEND AND LATELY THAT'S IN SHORT SUPPLY BECAUSE OF YOU AND THE DEMON WE'RE HUNTING!" Chiyo yells before she takes a deep breath, "Besides, Koga isn't that bad of a guy. I think we'd be better off keeping him as our ally so that Naraku can't get the shards from his legs." They get attacked by thieves and Chiyo looks over her shoulder at them. The bear approaches and Chiyo readies her scythe while Sango readies her Hiraikotsu. Naraku's poisonous insects show up and take the jewel. The group decides to follow regardless if it's a trap.

[Later that evening]

Inuyasha breaks down a door and Chiyo's eyes widen as she spots a bunch of dead people. They end up being wolves and Chiyo runs over to one.

"Are they of Koga's tribe?" Kagome asks.

"I see a few but the rest of them have different colored fur." Chiyo says. Chiyo jumps up when a gust of wind blows over the bodies and they begin standing.

"That impossible! They can't still be alive!" Shippo says.

"I don't sense any life in these men. Their souls have left them." Miroku says.

"That means they're undead." Sango says. Chiyo and Kagome stand in the back as Sango, Miroku and Inuyasha try fighting them off. Chiyo gasps in shock as she looks over her shoulder as she senses a familiar demonic aura approaching quickly. All the wolf demons collapse and Chiyo places her hand to her face in shock.

"This... this wasn't just a trap for us..." Chiyo says and she turns when she hears a gasp in shock, "Koga!"

"What? Koga?" Inuyasha asks.

"INUYASHA!" Koga yells angrily.

"That's Koga from the demon wolf tribe!" Miroku says.

"Inuyasha, how dare you do this?!" Koga asks.

"Koga, wait!" Chiyo says.

"Before you jump to conclusions, your pals here were already dead by the time I got to the castle." Inuyasha says.

"Shut up! You can't lie to me! You're covered head to foot in their blood!" Koga yells.

"Koga's not even listening to me." Chiyo says.

"Koga, you're wrong! We came here looking for a demon named Naraku, and we found the wolf tribe slaughtered." Kagome says. Chiyo jumps up to Koga and stands beside him.

"Chiyo." Koga says.

"But then they came to life and started attacking us, but they weren't really alive, they were undead." Chiyo says.

"I was told they were still alive and I had to hurry or else they'd be slaughtered. How stupid do you think I am?" Koga asks and Chiyo grabs onto his hand, "Let me go, I'm going to kill your brother!"

"Koga, I'm telling the truth." Chiyo says.

"Let me go! All that mongrel is, is a monster! I'll kill him!" Koga says and pulls his hand free from Chiyo's grasp. He jumps down and attacks Inuyasha.

'The sight of the slaughter has put him into a fixed rage... I've got to stop this.' Chiyo's thoughts say.

"Inuyasha, please! I'm begging you, don't fight him!" Chiyo says.

"If he wants a fight then that's what he's going to get!" Inuyasha yells as he dodges Koga's attack but still gets thrown from it.

"He's gotten stronger." Chiyo says.

"There's a strange glow from Koga's arm." Kagome says.

"Koga, listen to me! This wasn't Inuyasha!" Chiyo says. Koga continues to get angry and Chiyo gets tears in her eyes. Koga rushes to attack Inuyasha. Chiyo gasps in shock when she senses a powerful demonic aura inside.

"Naraku's inside." Chiyo says.

"It's got to be a trap." Miroku says.

"We don't have much of a choice!" Sango says and throws Hiraikotsu, "Chiyo, keep trying to reach Koga."

"Got it!" Chiyo says and the two rush inside. Kagome and Chiyo looks over at Koga and Inuyasha.

"I'm stuck between my brother and Koga." Chiyo says.

"Chiyo, relax its fine." Kagome says.

"Inuyasha is listening, but I've got to stop them from fighting before Inuyasha decides to fight back." Chiyo says.

"There's got to be something we can do." Kagome says.

"I could always try tackling Koga... but that'll piss Inuyasha off." Chiyo says.

"Uh... well, he already is angry with you." Kagome says andChiyo grips her scythe worriedly as she watched the fight.
