Chan and Changbin followed the group to their hide-out area, the two boys staring up at the mansion. Changbin was wide eyed, surprised completely. He didn't expect it to some rich looking mansion, but here they were. Chan didn't seem to care, his face blank as he continued to follow the group. The boy that Chan had healed during the fight just earlier that day- which was probably 5 a.m in the morning but it didn't matter- guided Changbin down a hallway once Chan and Changbin identified whose bags were whose. Chan assumed it was to a room where he'd be staying in.
"Come on, i'll show you to your room."
A voice spoke up from beside Chan, the boy looking to the side. His brown eyes met Woojin's gaze, Chan finding a soft smile on the tallers face. He simply nodded, allowing Woojin to lead him down another hall, and into a room that was decorated with a black fluffy rug underneath the queen sized bed, closet doors open wide to reveal the walk-in space. Another door was peaked open, showing a toilet and sink which Chan assumed to be a bathroom. The whole room was black and white themed, something Chan enjoys the most. A black dresser was pressed up in the corner on the farthest wall, as white curtains rested in front of the window.
"This will be your room, i took it from your clothes you prefer dark colors and this is the only room with the black and white theme left. So feel free to rest up in here and get comfortable."
Chan nodded slowly, before walking into the room, studying it further. He took note of black towels folded and stacked neatly on the table beside the bathroom door. Chan dropped his bags, sitting on the bed as he let his powers unpack and put them neatly into the drawers, hanging the shirts up in the closet. Chan ran a hand through his hair, eyes looking down at the ground.
Did he make the right choice..? Was he really not just a weapon?
Was he actually a normal human being in the past that he can't seem to remember other than the cries of a woman and a young boy's voice crying as well?
Or was he really born a weapon like the government had told him?
Chan pressed his lips together, as he looked back up. No. He was out of there. All that mattered was to protect Hyunjin, Jisung, and Changbin. And now? The group that had taken them in. Chan breathed out, before moving, choosing a loose sleeveless shirt and black skinny jeans to get into after a long shower he wanted. He headed into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him and turned the water on, heating it up. Soon he was in and out after washing himself, and standing there for a moment. Afterwards, he dried himself off and got dressed.
Stepping out of his room, he trailed down the hallway where voices were getting louder and louder.
"Oh my god! Jeongin be careful!"
Woojin's voice called out, Jeongin humming,
"I'm alright! Don't worr-"
Jeongin let out a shout when a spider landed on his nose, the ladder trembling and soon he was crashing to the ground from a 6 foot height. The young boys eyes squeezed shut in fear until he didn't feel anything. Not the hard ground, not pain, nothing. Everything was dead silent except Chan's feet shuffling across the floor, voice sounding,
"Do you have tea?"
Chan asked, Woojin staring at Jeongin in shock,
"W..what stopped him?!"
Minho exclaimed, eyes wide. Jisung, Changbin and Hyunjin weren't affected knowing Chan had saved the boy from a deadly fall. Chan sighed out, and looked over his shoulder,
"I stopped him from falling. With my powers clearly, i can do anything basically."
Chan sighed out once more, as he let Jeongin carefully get back to his feet before pulling his powers back in control. The energy of the room relaxed, and soon Woojin was checking Jeongin to see if he was alright, before sighing gently,
"Thank you, Chan.. He would've been hurt badly if he had fallen fully."
Chan shrugged, having found the tea himself, making himself some. Soon the boy was sitting on a chair, sipping at the tea he made, eyes studying everyone. Everyone slowly went back to doing whatever they were doing after the surprise that had happened, Felix frowning a bit. He narrowed his eyes, wanting to test something,
"Can bullets hit you?"
Chan looked at him again, an eyebrow raising. Changbin opened his mouth to say something but Chan beat him to it,
"Why don't you test it out? But do it when im not expecting it."
Chan asked calmly, eyes glinting a bit. Felix clenched his jaw, and just moved now. Woojin sighed at Felix's behavior, knowing that it was rude of him to ask such a thing. But he trusted Chan to not be endangering himself, since the boy went back to drinking his tea, and had started an conversation with Jisung and Minho. Minho was curiously asking questions about Chan, only to be a bit sad for the leader since all he was hearing was how the government treated them like weapons and not human beings.
A few hours passed, and it was around 6 p.m, Woojin deciding it was a great time to start dinner. Chan offered to help him out since there was a lot to cook for, and it led to Chan helping out by hand and not with his powers. He quietly did what Woojin asked him to, and soon they had food out on the table. Chan was sitting beside Jisung and Hyunjin, feeling more comfortable for now to sit beside them. Everyone ate in peace, their minds seeming to have forgotten that Chan had challenged Felix. Even Chan forgot about it for a good few hours, having been able to relax and enjoy himself for once in a life time.
So when Felix stood up, and walked over to Chan's seat nothing was seen out of place. Felix gripped the pistol he was hiding in his hoodies pocket, Chan continuing to eat with nothing to acknowledge Felix. The younger boy pulled out the gun and aimed it at Chan. Woojin was startled at first, standing up abruptly but a loud gunshot rang in their ears. Jisung's eyes widened,
"Felix!"
Woojin snapped out, getting ready to go over and grab the boy to refrain him from doing anything else. What stopped him was Chan just still eating, the bullet frozen mid-air as if he had been expecting it. Everyone stared in shock, until Chan finished eating and licked his lips.
"Did that get your answer?"
Chan asked, looking at Felix who was shocked,
"Woah... so you can't get hurt?"
Chan let out a laugh, before glaring a bit,
"Just because i can stop a bullet doesn't mean i don't get hurt, kid."
Chan stood up soon, everyone's appetite gone. Chan let his powers take the dishes from the table, and go to the kitchen. Everything was put away and cleaned within an hour and a half without anyone having to stand in there in front of the sink.
