The next morning I had my hair down and I didn't quite feel like dressing for the day but I knew I had to. It was getting colder so I put on thermal tights and a thigh high skirt, with a loose black t-shirt that had a wolf on it which was tucked into my black skirt. I put on black boot heels and I left my hair down with a black hairband. I knew something was wrong when Edward didn't come get me to drive to school, fortunately I could call Jessica and gave her some gas money. Once there I walked up to the Cullen's, where Edward was standing seemingly waiting for me, looking pained and sad.
"Edward can we talk?"
"Yeah"
I knew Jacob was nearby, I asked him to in order to give me confidence. Before I could even open my mouth Edward rounded on me
"We need to break up"
"What"
"Yeah, telling you what we were was a mistake, Alice knows you aren't fit for vampire life."
"What does Alice know, why don't you want to talk about this?"
"Alice can...see the future."
"So you don't even want to talk about it?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry I let this go on for so long. You weren't right for me"
And he walked away. He didn't even care. On my way out of the parking lot I called mom to sign me out of school, and when she did I found myself in the woods with an almost empty bottle of jack. Then I was sitting on a log with no shoes and my bottle was broken.
