The house is modern yet has that homey feeling to it. Itching to get in, I decide to skip analyzing the outer feel of the house.

The inside is amazing. The polished stone feels cool even with my shoes on. I take my shoes off on the foyer and take that little step up to the wooden floors. I walk towards the left and notice that the Living Room has no wall to separate it from the kitchen. There are loads of boxes everywhere though. To the right is a cute little study room Mom is probably going to use. Beside that room is an empty one I think we'd use for supplies. And finally an open room with a table for six. Why the dining room is on the opposite end of the kitchen would be a mystery.

"Mom, I'll check upstairs now," I say as I pass by her coming in the front door.

"Pick a room for yourself first," she replies, looking around.

I walk up the stairs and my eyes turn wide at the use of space. Just right above the study room and living room is a hangout space complete with bean bags, a soft grey carpet, a small bookshelf to the right with a folded piece of paper on it and a round table in the middle of it all. Deciding to grab the paper in a bit, I step closer to the large window with silk drapes, and sit on the bench of some sort, absolutely loving the house already.

"Mom outdid herself this time," I grin to myself.

I leave the comfy spot and read the small paper on top of the bookshelf.

'I customized this space for your liking, Ms. Calloway. I hope you and your daughter would like this.

This is my parting message before I retire. Thank you for letting me use your house as a canvas for my creativity.

-The Man ;)'

I put it back to its original position for Mom to see. He doesn't disappoint. I exit the chill area and open the first door. This room is big. Big enough for an ensuite bathroom and closet on the right side of the room and still have a lot of walk around space. The queen-sized bed has a grey duvet and two fluffy white pillows and beside it is a lamp on top of a dresser. On the right are a bare lilac wall, an open window, a desk, a tall bookshelf, and a small ladder propped to the side. This room is definitely mine.

Other than the walls being all lilac and the ceiling a greyish white, the bookshelf has a cute little baby blue carpet in front of it. The window has its own seat thing which is nice for late nights. I guess the rest of the decorating is up to me.

"Mom, mine's the room to the left!" I call out.

"Okay, dear!"

I open Mom's room to see it is slightly bigger than mine. With similar placements except her bathroom and closet is switched and she didn't have a bookshelf. Her walls are a nice pastel yellow with white ceilings.

Whoever did this sure knew how to please. A house fit for two people with the things we both like.

"You like it?" Mom's voice says from behind me.

"I love this place," I smile appreciatively, turning around to see her similar one.

"Who's 'The Man'?" I as.

Mom shakes her head and laughs, "Remember my high school best friend? He was really close to me and your Dad."

"Raymond... Blume?"

She nods and shrugs, "He wanted to do something for us because this was his last project before he went backpacking with his boyfriend."

"Aw, that's nice," I chuckle.
