I slam the back of the car shut and go over to the passenger seat.

"KC, wait!"

I turn around and see Marcus and Lewey running like headless chickens. I burst out laughing and they stop in front of me, trying to catch their breaths.

"Why... are you... laughing?" Marcus inquires breathlessly.

"You guys still run weird."

They glare at me then engulfe me in a suffocating bear hug.

"We're gonna miss you, Little Raven."

I sniffle into their shoulders and brush off my body begging for air,"You guys."

They let go of me and my body involuntarily inhales as much air as it could. They roll their eyes and Lewis calls out to my Mom,"Hey, Mama!"

My Mom grins at them and motions to the two brown boxes by her feet,"I think you guys can handle this, no?"

We all laugh and they take one box each from Mom. She wipes her hands on her pants and Mom gives me the gifts I'm going to give them.

"I'll give you ten minutes," she whispers into my hair.

Lewis and Marcus hug my Mom then sluggishly walk back to me, tears spring up in our eyes.

"I love you, guys."

"We love you, Little Rav."

I give them the boxes and they eagerly open them. Their mouths are agape when they see what is inside.

"No way?!"

"Are you serious?!"

I give them concert tickets to their favorite band, black titanium rings with our faces engraved inside, and a small picture of the three of us.

"I'm sentimental this way," I shrug.

They hug me again and check the tickets and rings out.

"Holy shit! It's legit!"

"Why wouldn't it be?" I laugh.

Marcus spots the creative design on the ring and guffaws.

"Lewis, look inside the ring."

He inspects what is engraved and laughs like a hyena, finally realizing what the three potato-looking blobs are.

"It's that hideous drawing!"

I cross my arms and narrow my eyes at them,"The drawing wasn't hideous!"

Marcus pats my shoulder and smirks,"That's why you leave the drawing to Lewis."

Lewis puffs his chest out which I punch just as he does so.

"Ow!"

"I had to deflate that a bit, your ego was going to make you explode."

I smile at them,"A chain's inside for the ring."

My Mom honks the car and I take that as a sign that I have to go.

They give me a sad smile and Lewis slowly gets his phone from his pocket, a girly smile pops on his face.

"Omg, selfie!"

We chortle as he clicks away. I don't really care. I'm happy and so are they. Though I have to admit, Lewis is more of a girl than I am sometimes.

He scrolls through the newly-taken pictures and winks at me,"Candid is key."
