"You called?" Luke said as he walked up to Katri. They were in her backyard and she nodded.
She stood on her tip toes and kissed him. He kissed back, shocked. They let go of the kiss and she started crying. Luke wiped away her tears. She shook her head and nuzzled her head into his chest.
"Don't you forget about me, Luke." She told him softly.
"I would never." He replied, hugging her tightly. He knew it would be the last time he would see the love of his life.
"Never, ever?" She asked, looking up at his eyes. He saw her green eyes become darker and his breathing became shaky. She was really doing this, and he couldn't stop her.
"Never," Luke gulped, fighting back tears. "Ever."

The last light was turned off in her house. She hopped out of her bed quietly and went to her desk. Grabbing a piece of paper and a pencil, she took a deep breath and wrote her final words. She left the note on her bed, pushing her clothes and everything into her closet and under the bed frame. Her eyes were full of tears as she slipped on her hoodie one final time. She left her phone behind and everything. Her Vans padded quietly down the steps of her stairs. Finally she made it outside of her house.
There was a small lake a few blocks away from her house. She knew the exact location and decided it would be the perfect night to take it in. Literally.
As she stood at the edge of the lake, she took off her shoes. Her hood stayed on, as well as the rest of her clothing.
"Kat." A voice startled Katri. She turned around quickly to only become face to face with Calum.
"Stay away from me." She hissed. "You're one of the reasons I'm doing this."
Calum felt like he had been stabbed in the heart. He ran up to her and hugged her. She tensed and squirmed at first, but then gave in. "I'm so fucking stupid, Katri. I'm so sorry. You have every right to be mad at me." He sobbed quietly. "I just don't want to see you go."
She frowned and let go of the hug. "Then you don't have to watch." She said as she backed away from Calum, stepping towards the edge of the lake. Calum took hold of her wrist. "Don't leave."
"Let me go!" She whisper-shouted. He shook his head, even though she couldn't see him.
"You're going to regret this." Calum warned her, tightening his grip on her wrist. She finally shook free of his grasp and she took her last step backwards.
"Goodbye, Calum." She said as she fell backwards into the water. A splash rose and Calum walked down to the edge of the cliff and tried to see her in the water. Nothing. No floating articles of clothing, not a single bubble emerged to the surface. His eyes widened and he stepped back towards a tree, sitting on the ground, gasping for air. His face was covered in tears and the guilt was unbearable.
He was the only witness of her death. He would be accused of murder.
-
Yellow police tape was around the lake. Calum had reported that he witnessed her jump, but was unable to rescue her. His statment was partially true, but no one knew it.
Luke and Michael were in a state of shock for days. Calum was in the stage of grief where violence would become necessary in his opinion.
Katriana's funeral a few days after, but her father passed before it could happen. Reporters came to the conclusion he passed from drug overdose. Kate was depressed for a while until she took a break from it all. Luke tried to keep in touch, but always failed.
