3 years later...

He was walking through his old neighborhood before going to the arena. He hadn't been to his old place in months. The neighbors still knew who he was, and congratulated him on his success.

One house was abandonded, as it had always been. Katriana's house. He glanced at it, and debated whether or not to see it again. He took a deep breath and sighed, walking up to the old house. The door had been unlocked ever since she left. Her father passed and Kate moved out. No one dared to go in there. Rumors started about Katriana's spirit haunting the house.

He walked into the old living room and took in the scent. He started tearing. It smelled the same.

The day he inroduced her to the band.

The day they got together.

The day their lives fell apart.

All had the same familiar scent. He walked up to her bedroom. The door was slightly open. He pushed the door and started crying. It was the way she left it. Her phone still on her desk. The only thing missing was the note she left. Luke still had it.

He couldn't do it anymore. He ran out of the house and on to the lawn. He fell on his knees and sobbed. His phone rang and he took a deep breath. Thank goodness no one was outside to see him.

"Hello?" He answered the phone, his voice groggy.

"I'm not even going to ask why your voice is like that," Micheal sighed. "But we need you to come to the arena now. Bye." He hung up. Luke shook his head and headed to his car.

Luke walked to his dressing room and sighed. Michael told him to write a song, last minute. The door opened and the room was dark. It was solitary and he was fine with it. He turned on the small desk lamp and sat in the chair.

He attempted to write something. A piece of paper thrown into the wastebin.

Another lyric, another throw.

A few hours later, he sighed and tried to throw a piece in the wastebin, but missed.

Then a knock came from the door, startling Luke.

Maybe that simple moment could change his whole life.
