Another day.
Another living nightmare.
I turned to my head to the where my clock lays. It read 5:00. I got up from my bed slowly, but surely. I literally have to drag myself out of my beautiful room to my beautiful bathroom, with a loud and tired sigh, I started to do my hygiene routine.
I stepped out my shower feeling a bit refreshed. I brush my teeth, go to my room and dry off, then I pick my clothes out, which is a simple fit.
After I finished getting ready I head downstairs with my school bag in hand. I walked into the kitchen to find some breakfast but I see in the kitchen is my step dad, Greg. I grew anxious about Greg because everything about him gave me the creeps. Don't get me wrong he's a decent guy but all that staring and overly nice gestures... it just seem like a scam to me.
"Good morning Greg" I politely greeted. Just because I found him oddly creepy doesn't mean I have to be rude, he hasn't done anything out of the ordinary to me. At least I don't hope so..
He looked up from his computer and looked me dead in my eyes as he took a sip from his all black coffee. No cream. No sugar. I'm telling you, if you like yo coffee hardcore like that ?! You a weirdo.
"Good morning Arella" he greeted back. I nod my head, the thing about me.. I hate rudeness. If I'm treating you how you want to be treated, I expect the same energy back. Plus there's nothing wrong with being nice and polite.
I grabbed a water bottle and 2 granola bars, one for breakfast and one for a little snack before lunch. As I get ready to head out the house Greg stopped me.
"Hey you coming straight home after school?" What type of dumass...
"Until further notice, yes, I will call you or mama if I'm not. Now goodbye have a good day"
"You too" and with that I left in a flash. I walked to my car, which was a gift from Greg. Ik what you thinking "how is he overly nice?! You trippin trippin!" First of all sis calm down, I'm not saying this gesture is overly nice, it's actually the best gift I ever received and I'm humbly grateful for that but it is a taddd too much. How?
