The encounter

Part 1: The mission

Year 2021
Location: UNOE artificial island
Pov: zing
Beautiful day, sunshine and blue sky. Life has never been slow like this before. Chill breeze of ocean wind and warm sunlight make it a perfect day for a quick run. Exercising was never my favorite thing to do when I wanted to start my day, but what can you do when the weather really wanted you to go outside and enjoy your life? I was walking across the side walk next to a sandy beach, relaxing with the beat of chill mix music and that when I received a phone call. It was from my friends, T. He was my best friend and my partner at work, I called him T because when he was 5, his teeth wasn't growing healthy and he looked like he is toothless, and people always called him the "toothless one", so I call him T for short. He a handsome man with jet hair and dark tanned skin. People would let his outside fool them that he a silent and tough type, but he is friendly, smart and protective. We met each other a long time ago when I was in grade 10. Since then we always been together and i always look at him like a brother that i never have. In fact, i don't have any relatives because my parents was long gone before I started school. A family picked me and raised me until I was on my own when i was 20. I was the top student since I started school, I learned hard and study well because I want to have a good future, but that also mean my social life was terrible and I have no friend. Some people try to befriend me but they all moved at the end of the school year. T was my first friend that stayed and study with me. We been through college together and he teach me how to play hard, while I teach him how to study well. We have always been the best students with top mark in our specialized subjects . We now both worked in the same organization and have a relatively close jobs. People would sometimes mistaken me as T brother-in-law because of how close we always are. Back to the conversation:
T: "Morning mate, how's your day so far?"
Me:"Pretty much the same for everyday."
T: "Well, I just want to remind you we have to attend a meeting at 1100. Pretty much the same meeting that we always have to attend: the commander giving us boring task and then some new feeds and then people start arguing on what they should do next."
Me: "Thank for the notice, supposes i will meet you at 1040 in the waiting room?."
T: "Like always, see ya."

After  a quick reminder by T, I headed to my house and take a shower. I dressed in my casual working suit: black trouser and red T-shirt with a black tie. Then, I went out for my car which always parked in the nearest public car park and drove toward the HQ. I past the main entrance and before i drive any further, a security guard appeared next to my window.

"Hello sir, may I please have your ID card?" - The guard asked while I hand him my ID. He known me well enough but procedures are procedures, so we always have to check ID before entering the HQ compound. He looked at the card as if it was something he already remembered too well.

"Mr. Haddock, you may process." - He said in a welcoming voice and handed me the card. Driving to the car park and walk to the lobby took me exactly 15 minutes. Normally i would visit the cafeteria and have a sip, but I was late because of the traffic. I headed straight for the waiting room, to be met by T and a scientist. Recently, the organization has hired some external scientists specializing in quantum and anti-matters. The company is up to something but it is a top secret project only the Tier 4 commander and government can access. T saw me and he greeted me with a hug. Then the scientists, dressed in white laboratory coat and black trouser, walk toward me and give me his hand. I shake his hands and nod.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr. Zing."

I looked at his name tag: Dr. Michael Jorgenson

"Thank you Dr. Jorgenson, I suppose you're here for the project demonstration?"

"Yes, well, you see, our recent scientific research has suggest that a particle formed from the element 97 show that we can accelerate the particle in the ..."

"Leave that for your presentation, now if you mind I have something to talk to my friend." - T cut in, gently pushed the scientists to the waiting sofa.

"Now, I have something to tell you Zing. Recently, those scientists guy have finishes something and paper reported whatever machine it is has successfully tested and moved from the field tested condition to active duty. And coincidentally, someone from the Human Resource department told me we might be promoted to Tier 4."

"That mean we have something to do with the project ..."

"Not just you have to do something with it. We have something to do with you guy. And get your ass ready for the meeting."

We turned around to be met by the Commander and his second in command. The man was a vast mountain, his body is big in a way that have to do with his viking trail. He a smart and gentle leader, which earned him respect and love by his men. I hurried to find my seat when the door to the HQ meeting room opened, T sit on my side and the rest of the Staff positioned themself equally through the big room, fill in every available chair. The first few hours of the meeting were about Aaron - the most wanted dragon hunter.

March 11, 2011
Location: Japan
Giant wave of Tsunami approach Japan. People were evacuated and the entire island of Honru was abandoned. Scientists around the world worked together to find the sources of the quake that triggered the Tsunami. To the world suprisse, the scientists has located a waterfall in the middle of the oceans, bearing 112 degree north of Japan. The world funded an operation to explore the hidden world, and in the returning trip, thousand of mystery stone gems, shaped like an egg but colorful and tough were transported in giant net carried by every helicopter conduct the operation. Laboratory around the world each wanted a pieces of these stone to examine, but the head of UNOE (United Nation Of Earth) stated that only the UNOE scientific reservations team can get their hand on these unknown stone gems that could be there for thousand of billion of years. What they didn't expected is those stone gems are dragon egg, and on a faithful night of
Christmas, the "stone" across every storage of the UNOE facilities explored, leaving everything burned to ash. The search team were shocked when they were conducting the firefight, because to their eyes they can see dragon. A enormous sea of dragon, hatchling dragon!

Year 2016
Location: UNOE summit
"We had establish a bond and learnt these creature, we have a conclusion that these creature are no harm, propose no threat to human and are helpful. Therefore they will be preserve in special designed nation park around the world and should be considered as an endangered animal. Effort will be made to restore these once walk on earth creature, we will be living  in harmony with the creature that once we thought were fictional. May human and dragon live in harmony to eternal ..."

Year 2018
Location: International Justice Court
"Today, we declares war against the terrorist group leaded by Aaron Buldvist. He's the men responsible for every dragon hunting, weaponizing, every terrorist attacks across the globe and the invasion into Europe, with the use of dragon as a weapon. I demand everyone to stand up, and united, we will fight and restored the peaces we once have."

Year 2019
The Aaron army had overtake the mainland of Europe, expanding the already well equipped army. No further fight have taken place after the fall of Europe and it seemed like Buldvist had achieved his goal. Now the attacker play the defensive role.

Back to present
POV: zing
"Now, our head of scientists will present for us his team recent project, the V121"  the commander voice boomed the whole meeting room.

After what look like 2 hours, the scientists end his presentation. The scientist can't make his presentations as briefly as possible. All of his talking was about a package of highly advanced anti-matter core that can supply an infinite amount of energy and by applying the technology to the army, new development of new war machine will be used to fight the battle against Buldvist  and his elite army of human and trained dragon. And to make the magic happen, the package must be delivered to a facilities in the North.

"This invention will change the war, and with it we will achieve further success. But we need to escort this device to the factory in the North to be mass produce and redesign, and with the tech estimate to arrive in the field in 3 months after development, our division will invade the Omaha beach with the new power in our hand and take back what we have lost. I trusted my best man, Cpt Zing Haddock to finish the job and secure our victory."

"It is my honors to be receiving this task, I shall complete the task and fail no one. I am honored for you all to trust me carry this responsibility."

"You may process then, commander haddock. Get your crew ready because the package will be leaving in 0400 tomorrow. God speed!"
