Part 2: Unexpected tragic

Location: UNOE Harbor, platform 4

The sky was dark and the moon was at the edge of the sea. Though everyone was sleeping in their's warm bed and snoring in comfort, UNOE navy already woke and ready for the mission. The uproar of crane loading ammunition for ship turret and wheel sound of truck after truck loaded with cargo make your's ear want to blow. In the water, stand 3 floating destroyer. These Cauldron class destroyer pack a punch when it come to fire powers, but with it is an incredibly fast mobility engine which make the ship best suited for a shipment of secret high tech items. To my expectation, I was given the ship VNA-222. Incredibly fast, impenetrable and equipped with a Fury class rail gun, capable of shooting a moving target at 12 kilometers away without a tiny slip of trajectory. The ship was loaded with explosive class ammunition and 2 additional auto target tracking AA guns.

"Well... well...well, our captains is here!" I turned around and to see an exciting T and a few serious looking face of the Commanding Team, walking toward me in their full uniforms with a NF-1 patch to their's shoulder. It was the patch to identify the staff that joined this mission. T give me a quick salute and the commander gently slap my shoulder.

"This is your big day fellas, this mission mean everything to us. You will be a hero if we get that device to the facilities. But please, if in any mean, keep the device away from any others at all cost. Buldvist recent activities stated that he is craving for a strong energy source to finish his plan of creating something that cannot be stop, and if this device fall to the hand of that maniac mad man, this world is screwed and there will be no safe place left on earth."

"I swore my life to protect the UNOE and the International community. I will protect and escort this device to the destination by any m...."

"Oh, captain Zing, can i have a moment?" - the scientist from yesterday rushed into our conversation, he pushed me away from the commander and the commander grin and walked away.

"You see, since we were working on the device, I figure out we should test the device with something. And of course I remember after making the device here, we will need to transport it away so why don't we just make a ready-to-attached hop up into a modified destroyer to hop this device into?"

"So you wanted to say that my ship has the devices giving the power to it?"

"Not just that, since your ship have more than enough power now, I installed a system to replace all the human role on the ship with machine. You only need one crew members and that is your second in command to operate the ship with."

"Why can't I take my whole crew? Isn't that less expensive in cost and time?"

"Because this is so important that no matter how much you trusted your crew members, I wanted this mission to be just between us, so please take your second in command and get ready!"

I looked back at T.

"You going?"

"How can I not be going with you?"

"That the guy I know."

We grin at each other and at that moment, the alarm notify everyone that the mission is officially starting soon and everyone must get ready to operate. Me and T quickly went to the main deck. Starting up everything and checking if any part of the ship is malfunction took us 10 minute. The com channel was now opened and I can hear the sound of second ship contacting us.

"This is ship VNA-040 captain speaking. Are we clear to set sail?"

"Off we go, set the course to 472 72 828, stay at Y formation and turn signal frequency to 40.5 HZ"
