This story has no particular place in the MCU timeline just an FYI.

Natasha sighed as she got the alert that there was another team briefing happening in the conference room. This time though, Tony hadn't called it, Fury did. "Friday, is everyone else already in the conference room?" She asked. "No Miss Romanoff, we are still waiting in you and Mr.Stark." The AI answered. "Of course. Alert Fury that I'm on my way." Natasha ordered. "Of course."

With that, Natasha threw her red hair into a pony tale and put on some black jeans and a white top with a brown jean jacket. Her hair had gotten longer and with all that's been going on, she had forgotten to cut it. Tossing on her favorite brown boots, she walked to the conference room to see Fury waiting, Tony already seated. "Really Friday." She cursed under her breath.

"Agent Romanoff, nice to see that you could finally join us." Fury stated. Natasha shrugged and sat down. "I'm fashionably late." She said plainly. "Well unfortunately, HYDRA never is." Fury said. "What?" Natasha asked. "What do you mean? It's a catchy one liner." Fury added. "No, it doesn't make sense." Natasha countered. Before they could argue anymore, Maria Hill, who was in the room all of a sudden, cleared her throat.

"Enough with the one liners and fashionably late crap. We have a mission, an important one." She said. Fury cleared his throat. "Correct, Hill, thank you." Maria nodded and sat down again. Not that she was ever standing because she just kind of popped into the room...

"We have intel that HYDRA is back to being HYDRA again. Meaning that they've found another super weapon that can cause mass destruction of modified and used properly." Fury revealed. "And what is this super weapon?" Steve Rogers asked. "All we know is that it has yah ability to turn invisible or 'disappear'." Maria put in. "Son basically, we're going in blind and you're hoping we'll get some glasses." Clint said. Natasha shook her head when Fury nodded. "That doesn't make any actual sense." "But you get what he's trying to say." "Okay but I also know what physics is, doesn't mean it makes sense." "Can we not do this right now you guys..."

"Okay!" Wanda yelled. The yelling and arguing ceased. "Please guys, there is a weapon out there that could cause mass damage and it's fallen into the hands of HYDRA. Keep in mind, HYDRA made me what I am today so unless you want a whole city of me's, I suggest we get this briefing over with and start saving the god damn world." She yelled. The team nodded. "Good. Thank you Wanda for that." Fury smiled. The young Maximoff nodded. The briefing ended and the team suited up for their mission. "I'm going to shower first guys." Natasha said, walking off to her bedroom.

While in the shower, she began to think. HYDRA was back? It really was like cut off one head and two more grow back. But why now? Where was this weapon, what was this weapon and just how dangerous was it? Whatever the answers to these questions were, she'd have to figure them out a little later. After drying off and throwing on her super suit, she stalked out of her room and onto the Quinjet with everyone else. When everyone was on, Steve and Tony began to speak.

"Okay, we don't know what this is so go in ready but don't engage. For all we know it could be a puppy." Steve stated. "Just...don't get killed guys. Not that we will, I mean, it's HYDRA." Tony joked. Some of the team members laughed, even Steve cracked a smile. "Okay, when we land in a few minutes, I want Nat and Clint I'm ground patrol, Nat if possible, if you get a shot at the target, go in." Steve instructed. "Clint, cover her." Natasha nodded, looking over at Clint and high giving him. "Everyone else besides Banner is on cloud patrol and forest patrol. Got it, okay." Before everyone got off the plane, Tony yelled something and took off in his suit for cloud patrol.

"Avengers Assemble!"

Normani didn't like what was going on, but then again, she couldn't tell what was going on because she was knocked out, or sedated, one of the two. Either way, it was the worst because they had tied her in a chair in a cold ass warehouse somewhere. The thing about sedation was that once it started to wear off, you got your senses back slowly. Starting with hearing. Normani could hear everything, including the fact that she was in HYDRA. Talk of a super weapon spread around the area and she was 99.9 percent sure they were talking about her. She could slowly start to move again and her eyes struggled to open. Whatever the hell it was that they knocked her out with was pretty strong and using her abilities in this situation seemed impossible because she could barely open her eyes, let on turn invisible.

"We're almost ready for modification, you can wake her up." A German accent instructed. Quickly closing her eyes, she was struck with something in her side, she screamed as blood poured out. The pain was terrible. Had they just stabbed her in the side? "Well well, have any good dreams, my dear?" A familiar voice asked. She looked up to see Kristof. Through gritted teeth, she mustered enough courage to spit on his black shiny shoes. "Fuck you." She coughed. "You're going to bleed out soon, we need to stitch you up and start this procedure." Procedure? Oh hell nah! This was not about to be like the time she went to the doctor for a 'checkup' and ended up going home with a sinus infection. Oh how Sapphire laughed when she sneezed. So much snot...

Anyway, Kristof untied her and carried her over to the table that she assumed was for the procedure. "Please..." she choked out. "I have a daughter...I can't leave her, please..." Kristof sighed. "Don't worry my dear Normani. We're going to find your Sapphire and keep her safe. That, I will promise you as your last wish of free will."

And then she blacked out.
