phoenix sat on top of a float right behind the dancing latina known as maria. phoenix's blonde hair blowing in the wind as her eyes went back and fourth watching for a specific someone.
"where is this kid?" she asked mostly to herself but maria heard and said "patience is a virtue"
phoenix lip went up into a half smile as she watched one of her few true friends dance around in a beautiful dress with the face paint accentuating her features. maria and phoenix had a special relationship just as phoenix did with saya. they kept is secret though, they had to protect themselves, kids at king dominion were cruel. you stay with your people and that's just the unwritten rules.
as phoenix was watching her friend dance she saw a figure coming up, who looked very out of place in a blue windbreaker and jeans. phoenix herself looked out of place with her black jeans, black turtle neck and jean jacket on with doc martian's on her feet, and her special chain as a belt. she could instantly tell this was their target.
"this is your moment" phoenix said to maria as she hopped down catching the eye of the curly haired boy. the blonde began to walk away but not before she looked at the boy and sent a smirk his way to which he became slightly flustered at.
phoenix walked past willie and the two shared a nod as phoenix went off to find her tattooed friend. spotting the cops marcus was on his way while the remaining gang fought them off.
the blonde haired girl ran up in the parking garage and stopped when she spotted her short haired friend and her motorcycle.
"saya" the blond greeted
"phoenix" saya smirked back at her and revved the engine of her vehicle causing the blonde to smirk back and hop on the back of it.
"hold on" saya ordered
"don't you worry" phoenix replied wrapping her arms tightly around the dark haired girl as they shot forward, going for their target.
the two had found him running on one of the levels and followed hot on his trail. he repeatedly looked back as he ran for his life. he finally had to stop seeing as the garage was coming to an end. he ducked down waiting to the impact of the motorcycle but it never came.
saya slammed on her breaks and turned the vehicle, phoenix hopped off and stalked towards the boy. he started to scoot back slightly intimidated by the girl. when he reached the wall and couldn't go any farther she stopped in front of him and offered her hand. he stared at her hand with wide eyes causing her to roll her own
