As tired as you were, you couldn't sleep. It wasn't the fact that your tent was tiny. And it wasn't the fact that the person sleeping next to you was snoring up a storm. It was yourself that keep you up. You couldn't stop thinking about yourself. How you acted around people and the kind of impression you gave off to others. You put your hands behind your head and stared up into the darkness. When you were really quiet, you could hear snoring coming from the other tents.

Even though it was hot, you were still enjoying the stillness. You loved it. You loved being by yourself and having no one look at you and whisper untrue things about you. You loved not having the force yourself to smile so you could come off as normal and happy.

But you hated being lonely and remembering who you are and how you gave people an impression of yourself.

Everything was sticky and hot. You wanted to rip it apart. You turned to your side and cursed silently. Just close your eyes and go to sleep damn it.

Your eyes shot open when you heard a sound coming from the outside the tent. It sounded like splashing. You had to fight yourself to stay put. One half of you knew better than to go see what it was, the other just wanted to get out of the goddamn tent. You shook your head and forced your eyes closed. After a few minutes of trying to ignore the splashing and the fighting to go to sleep, you couldn't take it anymore. You quietly sat and crawled out of the tent.

-

Suga yawned and got out of his tent. Being tall was a curse and a blessing. He took up most of the space and could barely move in that small and hot tent filled with 3 people. He had no idea how everyone else was able to sleep.

The hot summer night was a lot more refreshing than the hot and sweaty tent air.

Suga yawned once again and stretched his arms. He was a little creepy being the only one out. Everything was dark and quiet.

"Oh shi-" Suga hissed when he tripped over a rock. He turned around to make sure everyone was still sleeping. After his heart rate returned to normal, he made his way to the lake and sat down. It was a lot cooler here and he was thinking about sleeping out here for the entire night. He looked to his side and picked up a few pebbles before throwing a few of them into the lake.

The lake was still and stilled shine even though it was dark. It was moments like this that Suga loved and hated. He loved the stillness and the fact that he was able to be himself even though there was no one around. He loved the fact that he didn't have to be cold and crack sarcastic jokes every time people talk to him.

But he hated being alone with thoughts. He hated thinking and remembering things that he didn't want to. He hated knowing that he was only able to escape for a few minutes before reality dragged him back by his ankles.

.

Suga jumped and quickly turned around when he heard footsteps. It if was a camp leader, he was screwed. He squinted his eyes to make out the figure in the distant that seemed to be coming his way.

"Hy?" Suga whispered. He felt himself smiled when he could clearly see you. Your hair was clinging to your face due to the sweat and he tried so hard to keep his laughter in when you immediately splashed your face with the lake water.

"Why are you still awake?" You asked. Suga shook his head while watching you wiping some droplets of water from your forehead with the back of your arm. Suga looked over at you and raised a brow.

"I should be asking you that." Suga answered.

You sat down next to him and leaned back on your hands and shook your head with a little chuckle, "typical Suga"
