Ray of Hope
The lush green grass we walk on
which shines with glory and might
is the ground my father graced,
you see that horizon dear?
that was the extent of the kingdom he reigned.
Now, I reminisce so lovingly
about the time he fought
to rightfully get me my place,
you see that throne dear?
that was the reason he died, forever leaving this stage.
Uncle Scar didn't give a damn
for he was selfish and envious
and wanted the kingdom for himself
you see that abandoned home dear?
that's what he did, before disappearing somewhere else.
I'm so glad I have you by my side
the love of my life, you rescued me
from the shambles I was left in,
you see our children growing up?
they'll be our pride one day, turning this hell to heaven.
