My eyes fly open and I gasp, taking in the cold, harsh air. The world is blurry. I try to sit up but find I can't.
Oh, Stars...
I slowly squint until the world focuses. Everything is still blurry around the edges. My brain hurts.
I don't mean figuratively. I mean literally. My brain hurts. Worse now. I yelp and clutch at my head, sitting up right into a sea of dizziness.
Abruptly, all the pain goes away. And, Stars, that's hilarious.
I roll off the bed laughing, harder when my head slams into the cold, hard floor. Then I get up, watching the pretty machienes. The lights are flashing. On. Off. On. Off. On. Off. I love these lights.
I start dancing to the beat of the lights. On. Off. On. Off. On. Off. Somethign catches my eye.
There's a whole tray of differnt instruments on a tavble, and both the instruments and the table are shiny. Everything's shiny. I laugh again.
The door slides open and a girl walks in. I stare at her, puzzled, untiol I recognize her face as Kay. Or Lee. SHe doesn't care. Is she coming to join my party?
"Kaaayyyyy-Leeeeee," I call out, amused at the way my voice pitches. "Are you coming to play with meeeeeeeeeeee?"
She just stares at her clipboard, then back at me, then at her clipboard again. Then she darts to the table with all the shiny things on it and grabs a needle. A long needle. I whimper. I don't like needles.
She jabs it into my arm before I can move, pushing down slowly on the plunger until no more of the purple goop that was in it remains. My vision blurs.
"Somebody is going back to classes," she says. Then she walks out and my vision fades all the way.
