It's been the same process for a while now. A guard or soldier comes to me every once in a while and tells me something new they've found. It's not of any use. We keep looking.

All I can find is the same stuff as before-- by one, we know the identifications on whose disappeared; save for one. Soldier-in-Training h-046g has missed an entire day's worth of training. So has Termination-Scheduled h-022y, but in classes worth. But there were three. I know I saw three.

So the hacker, she must have put in a failsafe, then. A way to erase herself from the systems should she ever escape.

h-046g

Age: 18

Height: 6' 0"

Weight: 160 lbs

Test Score: 189

Notes: Shows strong athletic skills and strategic problem-solving.

Override Risk: 96%

Relations: h-067g, h-124b

I scroll down. Underneath it is another file, similar to this one. The only commonality between these two is their override risk-- they shouldn't even know each other. ANd yet, they escaped together along with an unnamed fugitive.

h-022y

Age: 17

Height: 5' 8"

Weight: 135 lbs

Test Score: 176

Notes: Low tolerance for pain, exhibits strong loyalty from an early age.

Override Risk: 84%

Relations: h-064gr, h-072b, h-111b, h-021y, h-042gr, h-045w

Underneath both is a picture que, one taken each year. Old pictures are only available to people with my ranking, who need to understand and know a face completely.

h-022y is a tall, thin girl with wispy caramel hair and huge emerald eyes. In every single picture, she looks more hopeless as the years go on. SHe starts out as ten year old girl, hardly even old enough to begin to understand the world, and slowly, she roundness in her cheeks fades, the open, hello-world-here-I-am stare dissipates. She grows up.

The soldier, however has looked nearly the same since eleven, losing all of the childish quality to his face but staying the same otherwise. He has darker brown hair and brown eyes, nothing really all that remarkable about his face. Easy to overlook in a crowd.

Although I'm not sure what an override risk is. Maybe an override of the system? Maybe they were both at a high risk of becoming purples?

Either way, neither or these files are any help. I ignore them, staring at the screen-glassy eyed. If I can't do this, I'm done for.

My ability slowly turns itself up, tunes in to the world. Someone is coming towards me, practically broadcasting their thoughts. I stifle it, wanting to hear the words from the soldier's own mouth.

"Sir. We've found something on the moonBase Fugitive Case."

"Show me."
