Cat Naps and Instincts

First chapter here we go!

Gumball's P.O.V

As usual I was in class with Darwin when I suddenly got tired. I started zoning out not listening to what Darwin was saying. "Hey, hey! Hey! Are you listening?" I was snapped out of my zoning out saying incoherent (Hah! I learned that from Anais) words.

"Wha- what? Where am I?" "Dude! It's already the end of class! You slept through the whole thing." Darwin said. When I looked around I noticed that we were alone. I finally answered "So I slept through class. What's new?"

I could tell he was getting frustrated "I mean you have been sleeping more than usual like this is the third time today!" "Wait what?!" I would usually only take 1 or 2 naps a day! "Well anyway let's go." I started walking soon Darwin followed after.

***Timeskip To When They Get Home***

Darwin's P.O.V

When we got home Mrs. Mom was waiting on the porch looking very angry. "Where have you two been?!" "Well..." Gumball trailed off. "Well what happened was that Gumball was taking more naps than usual because he took 3 naps instead of 1 or two. So on his third nap class ended signaling the end of school." I explained.

She had a look of thoughtfulness on her face then said "Ok, you boys come inside but Gumball I need to have a talk with you." We walked inside and went our separate ways, me going to our room and Gumball with Mrs. Mom.

Gumball's P.O.V

To say I was nervous was an understatement, I didn't know what she would want to talk to me about. We suddenly stopped walking causing me to bump into her. "Ow! Where are we?" "We're at my secret place, somewhere very dear to me." She answered. I looked around and saw we were somewhere in the forest at a treehouse!

"Mom? What did you want to talk to me about that is so important to bring me out here?" I asked. She sighed "Well I want to tell you what's happening to you and why this is happening." "What do you mean?" I was getting nervous now. "Gumball...you know how we are part cat right, like we have the ears and tail and whiskers. Well once we reach a certain age our cat instincts will kick in and make us more cat like until we find someone."

"What do you mean someone, why do I need to find someone." I questioned. "Well, we have a thing that's sort of like soulmates. For example your father was my soulmate thus why we're together and  my love for him and all of you." She said. "What will happen if I don't find that person?" I really didn't want to think of all the bad things that could happen but they came into my mind anyways.

"Well if you don't find them..." she trailed off. "What? What will happen? You're making me nervous." I urged for answers. "Well if you don't find them...you will go into a thing called 'heat' for the rest of your life until you find them. Before you ask what will happen, when in a heat you will feel a burning type of feeling in your body and have the urge to go and kiss them and protect your family or your special someone and do some ummm...other things..." She informed. We both knew what that 'other things' was but neither of us wanted to say it. Neither of us were ready to give or have to 'the talk'.

"Ok...is that it?" I asked my head trying to swallow all that she just said. "No, there is still more." She answered. She then proceeded to tell me everything from 'acceptance and rejection' to what will happen when I find them and much more. Apparently it starts when you're 13 and just goes from there and the urges and other things happen at the beginning,  middle and end of the year for a week. Also that someone could be either male or female but I wouldn't mind either gender since I'm bi.

By the time we got back it was night time and we were questioned about where we were and what happened. Soon we had all the questions answered some answers were vague and others were detailed. It was time for bed when they stopped questioning so we all grabbed a little snack and went to bed. My head was still swimming with questions until I fell asleep dreaming about different scenarios that could happen.

Finally done with the first chapter. So sorry that this is starting off with a whole bunch of information and a bit intense but it is required so that I could inform you guys so I won't have to do it every chapter some happens.

Also for the heat thing should ot be a kiss or something else (it could also be more lustful things as well).
