"no." he answers sharply and her happy expression dissolves off her face and she looks away from her ashamed and embarrassed over what had just happened.
luke sees this and smiles to himself noticing now lilly's feelings for him was on show. it was clear to him now that he wasn't the only one to feel the love between each other. maybe not as strong as he felt for her, but nonetheless it was something.
"i don't want to be your friend lilly, i want to be your best friend. and after that i want to be your boyfriend and who knows what would happen after that. maybe i would be the father of your children, and you could be my wife. then one day my widow. i know it's far fetched but i'm just a dreamer you see. so what do you say?" luke looks at her hopefully and she smiles the most beautiful smile she has ever done in her life. happiness, joy, compassion and love was visible on her face and that on made luke want her even more. physically and emotionally.
"i no longer want the temporary bliss luke; i want it to be permanent."
