(Region POV)

I woke up with Carter arms around me. I eased my way out the bed and went to take a shower. I walked out finished to see Carter was up watching spongebob eating caption crunch. "You still a lil kid." I said laughing. "I have my moments." he responded. I crawled back in the bed and laid on him. once he finished his cereal he wrapped his arms around me. "You heard?" I asked Carter. "No, what?" he asked flipping threw the channels. "Well maybe I shouldn't tell you cause Dorsette ain't tell ya.""No babe tell me imma still act surprise when he tell me, imma work on my surprise face." he said while making faces. "Jordyans pregnant and I don't know if she told him yet." I said quickly. "Damn...well do she plan on telling him?" Carter asked while trying to braid my hair. "She said she would but idk if she did it yet." I said flinching cause I was tender headed from my tangled untamed curls. "So about us and a baby?" I looked at Carter as if he was the craziest man alive. "No no no no no, I have plans for myself in the future." I said sitting up. "I'm joking. I know the both of us ain't ready. " he said laughing cause the so called braid he tried to do was sticking up. We laid there and chilled for the day.

I received a call from Calvin. "Hello...what about him?? OH MY GOD.. is he ok? What room number. ok I'm on my way!" I hopped out the bed and grabbed some sweatpants and my Uggs. "Babe where you going?" Carter asked "My dads in the hospital. he had a heart attack." I responded trying to hold back my tears. "Oh shit let me come." Carter said hopping up grabbing his gym shorts and shoes. The ride was silent as I tried to hold back my tears. Once we made it to the hospital I damn near ran to the front door. "I'm here for Jonathan Smith!" I almost yelled at her. "He's in room E209." she responded. Me and Carter Sped walk to the elevator. Once we was on the right floor we walked to the room. I walked in to see my dad sleeping. Calvin jumped up from his sleep. "Region!" he said "Shhhh..he's sleep." I replied "No, he's in a coma." Calvin said. My eyes filled with tears and I broke down crying. I never thought this would happen to my dad, and me not being there as much as I used to was never good for him. "Babe want us to stay over to keep an eye on him." Carter asked rubbing my back. "Uhmm, imma stay but you can go you don't have to stay but be sure to let Jordyan know." I said slurring my words. "Alright." Carter said before walking out the room. I sat in the chair and was just starring at my dad. Jordyan and Soul and Carter came in all together. I got up and hugged Jordyan we both was crying, I started to blame myself. "It's all my fault, I shoulda been home with him." I said wiping my eyes. "No it's not your fault boo." Jordyan said. I just shook my head and tried to catch my breath.
