I shot up in my bed hearing what sounded like a clock ticking.'What the hell?' I thought as I grabbed my knife on the ledge by my bed."Your times up!" a female voice spoke from the cracked closet door. A pale woman dashes from the closet and I barely have time to block her knife thrust.
"Clockwork?!" I exclaimed in surprise and disbelief as I saw who was attacking me. I kicked her in the gut sending her flying headfirst into the desk by my bed. I heard her grunt in pain as her head banged into the edge of the desk and cautiously approached her body. I barely managed to dodge in time as she slashed at my neck and got cut across my right cheek.
"It's not my time to die yet!!" I yelled as I slammed the metal handle of my knife across her temple knocking her out."Now what do I do?" I muttered as I caught my breath.I went into my kitchen and grabbed a roll of duct tape to tie up Clockwork. I worked quickly as I taped her to a chair in the center of my room.
5:15 am
Pov clockwork
"What the hell?!" I struggled but couldn't get free of the tape. "It's pointless, I used about three rolls of duct tape on you." The guy spoke from the bed where he was sat. "Why didn't you just kill me?!" I shouted at the guy. "Why would I kill my favorite creepypasta?" He asked with a smirk.
"So are you working alone tonight or am I going to get another visitor soon?" 'I knew I should have accepted Tobi's offer to come along with me tonight' I thought as I stayed silent. "I'm going to guess you're alone, after all if you were with someone tonight they wouldn't have let me tie you up." The guy spoke as he slowly stood up.
"What the hell do you want?!" I yelled at him. "I want what everyone else wants." To live a perfect life but sadly that's just not possible in this broken world."He replied with a bitter tone. " I'm going to go grab something to eat." He said grabbing something in the corner of his room.
"I could have grabbed this sword if I wanted to kill you." He said unsheathing it and letting me see the sharp edge it had. "What's your plan here?" I questioned him. "When I don't return to the mansion in the morning then Slender will send others to find me!" I threatened him which he simply laughed hollowly.
"I know he will but I'm not afraid." He said as he walked out of the room.
6 minutes later
The guy walked into the room holding two bowls of instant ramen. "Here I'm going to let you have a free hand but if you try to pull the tape off or attack me I'll stab you with my sword." He threatened and I kept still as he freed one of my hands. He sat across from as we awkwardly ate the ramen.
"Do you guys need a safe house?" He randomly asked when we finished the ramen."What do you mean?" I asked cautiously. "A place to lay low from cops when you can't get back to the mansion in time." He clarified.
"Why would you do that?" I asked shocked he offered."I agree with what the pastas do." People like Tobi's parents, your parents and brother, Ej's college attackers deserve to die!!" He growled out with hatred dripping from his words. "If I can help this broken world by providing help to the pastas I will do it." He said as he stood up and left the room with the bowls.
' He wants to help us despite the fact that I tried to kill him.' Should I accept his offer?' Will Slender even let us accept his help?' I pondered while the guy was in the kitchen washing the bowls. He walked back inside the room and sat down in front of me again.
"Well have you decided Clockwork?" He asked with a tone that sounded almost hopeful. "I can't accept not until I speak with Slender." I replied and he got up and powered on his computer screen. "Can you contact Ben or Slender using my pc?" He questioned booting up his steam account.
"Why am I not surprised you have Slender the arrival on steam?" I said as he chuckled softly. "I was a fan of horror games the moment I played resident evil four and when slender the 8 pages came out I got hooked into creepypasta." He stated as his face began to look confused. "The fuck?!" He muttered as he saw the names of the games on the steam account had changed.
The slender game title had changed to simply read: open me now."I will pull the damned wall plug if you try to climb out my screen." He said as he opened the game. The game started up normally until the title screen showed up. There was a new addition to the menus titled: Proxy chat log.
"I swear to slender if this is a virus link Ben made I'm gonna be pissed off." He muttered clicking on the proxy chat log menue option. A text box appeared on the bottom of the screen and a message popped up.
Chat log Ben:So you're the one that caught clockwork
DeadlySlayin(my steam name): Yeah I did. Ben I don't want to hurt her or expose anyone I just want to help by providing a safe house whenever you need one.
Ben: I know I heard your offer through your phone Mic.
DeadlySlayin: what does slender think of it?
Ben: He's willing to go for it but if you backstab us you and everyone you know will die. Now let clockwork go.
DeadlySlayin: how do I know you aren't lying to get me to cut her loose and kill me?
Slender: I give you my word
DeadlySlayin: I'm cutting her loose now.
The guy cut through the tape and quickly backed away from my seat."Relax man I'm not gonna attack you." I said rubbing circulation back into my right hand. "The cut on my cheek says otherwise." He retorted.
"What's your name?" I asked him as I stood up. "It's Alec, Alec Mercer." He said with a smirk."Nice to meet ya." I said as I felt slender's presence."I'm sorry about this by the way I said."
Pov switch back to Alec
"Sorry about what?" I asked before my head exploded with agony and static.
