         Alec pov
I hit my mattress with frustration as my phone started ringing waking me up. I let the ringtone play for a bit before angrily snatching the phone from the ledge by my bed. I saw it was my friend Ti who was calling and I answered. "What the fuck do you want bro?" I asked in an angry voice.

"Chill, damn I was calling to see if you wanted to kick it, I got a bottle of some vanilla liquor." He replied quickly. "Come outside I'm here already." He said as he hung up."He has the worse timing ever!" I whisper-shouted. I walked outside carefully leaving my phone in my room. Jeff was passed out on my couch and barely stirred as I opened my door.

Ti stood there with a grin on his face as I walked onto the porch. "Ti let me see your phone right quick." I said as he walked onto the porch."What for?" He asked confused. "What happened to your face by the way?" He asked seeing the cut on my cheek.

"Give me your phone and I'll tell you." I said with a tired voice. He hesitated for a few seconds then handed over his phone. I quickly took the back off and removed the battery and sim card."What the hell you doing?!" My friend questioned as I pocketed both the battery and sim card.

"I didn't want us to be listened in on." I answered as he lit a cigarette."Do you remember awhile back when those people were killed  in their beds?" I asked cautiously as Ti choked on his smoke due to surprise. "Yeah, shit looked like it was straight out of a horror movie." Ti replied shuddering a bit. "Well, I know who was responsible." I said watching Ti's face.

He looked shocked for a few seconds then asked me who it was."Ti what I'm about to tell you is dangerous and it involves why I up and vanished for a few months last year." If I tell you then you can't tell anyone especially the cops." I said seriously. "You know I ain't no rat Alec." Ti said blowing out a small bit of tobacco smoke.

"Do you know the creepypastas that we both used to listened to when we were younger?" I questioned him  Yeah but why bring them up?"Ti asked me curiously."I got woke up last night by a ticking sound then was attacked by someone who I later saw was Clockwork." I explained to Ti's disbelief. "I kicked her into the desk and thought she was knocked out and almost got my throat slit by her."

"She lunged and I pulled back getting cut on my face." I said as Ti stayed quiet."Ti I need to show you something." I said as I pulled my shirt off exposing a long scar from the top of my right shoulder to just below my stomach on my left side. "How the fuck did that happen?!" Ti yelled with shock.

"I was kidnapped by a cult that tortured me for those few months leading up to a date where they tried to summon something by sacrificing me but it failed." The thing they conjured killed them but not me." I survived purely on luck because it had ate it's fill." I bitterly spat out the words.

"I still hear their screams as that thing tore into them." I quietly said as I swiped the bottle from Ti's hands and took a long sip. "That's why I drank so much during the last few months of last year." I said softly as I passed the bottle back. "Shit man why didn't you say anything?!" Ti yelled as I heard some noises from inside my apartment.

Ti heard the noises as well and got up to go inside and I quickly grabbed his arm."Don't go inside, it's not safe for you right now." I said firmly."The hell are you talking about?!" Ti questioned me in a loud whisper. "Ti, I'm alive right now because I struck a deal with Clockwork's boss." My apartment is now a safe house for them, if you walk in and see them then you'll get killed."

Ti sat back down with a sigh and took a swing from the bottle."That explains why you took apart my phone." You didn't want Ben being able to listen in." Ti as it dawned on him.  "Yeah it was a groundrule that slender set for me." Aren't you worried that one of them will kill or hurt you?! Ti questioned as I chuckled hollowly.

"They know Slender would punish them but if they did at least I wouldn't have to deal with this broken world anymore." I said snatching the bottle and taking a longer drink. "You need help man." Ti stated with a shake of his head. "I don't need help or pity, I survived pure hell and now I can help in some way to clean up this world." I responded with an emotionless voice.

Ti stayed silent as he sipped from the bottle for a few seconds before passing it back."It's halfway gone, you want the rest Ti?" I asked as Ti shrugged. "Nah man you can keep it, hell you need it more than I do." Ti answered as he stood up slightly swaying."Ti don't talk about what I told you near any electronic device while it's plugged in or on." I warned as he left with his phone now put back together.

I walked back inside and nearly punched Jeff in the face because he was standing right in the doorway as I came inside."Jeff do that shit again you're getting decked." I shouted startled a bit. Jeff chuckled and headed to the bathroom while I set the bottle on the kitchen table. "So who was that at the door?" Clockwork's voice asked me from behind me and I nearly attacked her.

"Clockwork please don't sneak up on me." I tend to lash out when people stand behind me without saying anything." I said as I turned and nearly blushed at the thin sleeping tank top she was wearing. "It was an old friend of mine who wanted to hang out for bit." I answered as I sat down at the table.

"He brought the liquor on the table and we drank for a bit." I heard you talking to him.'Fuck this isn't good' I thought as my blood ran colder than ice. "Why did you warn him not to mention what you talked about around?" Clockwork questioned as I started to shake with a bit of fear and adrenaline. "My.. time with the cult." I quietly spoke as I trembled.

Clockwork's eyes widened slightly and she sat down next to me."I'm sorry if I brought bad memories." Clockwork spoke softly which I knew from the stories wasn't normally how she acted. "Its fine, I'm not upset with you." I said as I took a sip from the bottle of liquor.

"Want some?" I offered her the bottle and her face took on this look that looked like a mixture of suprise and curiosity."I've never drank before." Clockwork replied as she took the bottle and took a small sip."That tastes somewhat good." Yeah it's vanilla flavored." I said as I took a sip from the bottle after her.

Jeff walked into the kitchen and grabbed something to eat as me and clockwork finished off the half empty bottle. "I'm heading back to the mansion." Jeff said as he left through a window. I stood swaying heavily as I looked at Clockwork who hadn't tried to stand up yet. "I feel so light right now." Clockwork spoke with a slight slurring of her words.

"Yeah I typically feel my emotions numb when I drink." I said helping her to stand up. "Lay down on your back so you don't put pressure on your stomach." I suggested as I helped her get to the couch. She lay down and I went into the kitchen pouring us two glasses of water. "Here drink this, it will help when you wake up."

She drank it while sitting up slightly as I yawned loudly still tired. I drained my cup quickly and put it on a desk in my living room. I turned to head back to my room and was surprised to feel Clockwork's hand latch out and grab my wrist."Stay here." She muttered as she grabbed me.

"I'm tired still Clockwork." I responded with a slur to my words. "Lay down with me." Clockwork insisted and I reluctantly agreed. I layed down on the couch with her behind me on it. 'She's gonna kill me when we both sober up.' I thought as we drifted off to sleep.
