Marceline And Finn

Chapter 10

~Finn~

I followed Marcelline down the trail in the woods behind the Candy Kingdom. As the trees started to thin I could see broken cars like the one me and Jake found and fixed up and other debris. Marceline slowed as she got to the cars and started over a very big truck that must've carried stuff in the back. As she gracefully landed on the other side an arm reached out from under the nearest car. It grabbed Marceline's leg causing her to fall over and scream. I quickly jumped down and ripped the arm off her and yanked the creature from beneath the car. It looked like the one from when me, Jake, PB, and James 1 went to that abyss and got attacked by all the creatures caused by The Mushroom War.

I quickly let go and smashed his head with my shoe. I helped Marceline up and we continued to climb over the broken cars. The cars started to get spread apart and we finally had a clear view of the city. The destroyed buildings had gapping holes in their walls and broke glass scattered from the windows. As we looked through the first building Marceline started to get distant and would stare deep in thought at certain moments.

As we neared the last building I set up our sleeping mats and broke up a shelf to burn for warmth.

I looked over at her and asked,"Marceline. What's wrong? Why have you been so distant?"

She looked at me and shrugged," This is the city where my dad took me back to the Nightosphere and Simon went crazy..."

Sorry for the very, very short chapter. I've been so tied up in school work and my life has been a little ruff lately so please bare with me. I'm trying to update as fast as possible. Sorry again.
