7 | Backfire

Taehyung's POV

"Nooo!" I screamed as I started to run towards the railing. I suddenly stopped.

Why can't I move?

I looked down at my feet to see them surrounded by ice, freezing them to the floor.

I looked straight at the princess.

"I'm gonna kill you!!!" 

Jimin is all I have left. She's too innocent she won't let him die.

Or so I thought.

By every passing second, I got more and more anxious.

"What aren't you doing anything?!" I yelled with distress in my voice.

"Did you not hear me before?" She started walking towards me. She grabbed my chin and forced me to look at her.

"You need to pay the price for your actions." I saw darkness fill her eyes. It quickly faded away as her eyes widened stepping back. She turned so her back was facing me.

She started running towards me. I shut my eyes tightly waiting for some sort of impact. But I never felt anything.

My eyes shot open as I heard the sound of water splashing behind me. She was gone.

Y/N's POV

I smirked as I looked into the prince's worry filled eyes for the life of his brother.

My chest started to burn. I felt the darkness starting to consume me. I backed away from him.

I can't let his brother die. I will never forgive myself. I can't stoop down to their level. 

I can't become like him.

I dove into the water after the eldest prince. 

Where is he? 

My eyes searched desperately to find him.

There he is. My heart dropped to see that the prince's lips completely frozen and blue. I grabbed ahold of him and swam towards the surface.

I gasped loudly as air reunited with my lungs. Without a split second to think, a hand roughly grabbed onto me and yanked me out of the water along with Jimin.

Once I was back on the ship, my face came in contact with the floor. As I was about to crawl over to Jimin to make sure he was ok, but I was pushed back down with a body hovering over me.

"Your highness, get off. I was going to make sure your brother is-" 

My sentence was cut short as Taehyung put his hands around my neck and started to choke me.

"I'm going to kill you." 

He said in his raspy voice. I stared into Taehyung's blood shot eyes as they burned into my soul.

I grabbed his hands trying to rip them off but it was no use. Tears started to form in my eyes. I closed my eyes preparing to die when suddenly Taehyung's grip loosened.

I started breathing heavily to make sure my lungs worked properly. I opened my eyes to see Taehyung completely still.

"Get off of her." 

Taehyung put his hands in the air in surrender and got off me. I just sat there in confusion until my eyes met Jimin's.

Completely alive and healthy. He furrowed his eyebrows as he held a sword up to the back of his younger brother's neck.

"Jimin, what are you doing? She just tried to kill you!!!"

I saw Taehyung's face fill with desperation wanting someone to be on his side.

"But she saved me." Jimin argued back. 

Taehyung obvious didn't like his answer. His hands instantly lit on fire.

Jimin quickly dropped the swords and grabbed the back off his neck and whispered something in his ear. Taehyung immediately went limp and his unconscious body hit the floor.

Jimin turned to me.

"I can now finally introduce myself with a more friendlier approach. Hi, I'm Jimin." 

The biggest smile grew on his face.
