"The truth is that I'm sorry though I told you not to worry. I'm just some dumb kid trying to kid myself that I got my shit together."

-Lost Boy; Troye Sivan

Mikala POV

The following days went by in a breeze. On the final day, we had to full course dinner cooked by the alumni's. It was delicious and would have been better if Alice hadn't attempted to use the dinner to recruit me as one of her followers/servants.

It was not the morning of our departing and everyone seemed to be relieved that  the camp from hell was finally over. Currently I was walking with the other Polar Star Dorm members as we were walking towards the bus.

"At last, it is all over." Yuki stretched before jumping forwards, her arms wrapping around Ryoko and my shoulders as she slouched between us, "I thought I was gonna die!"

"I'm glad all of us managed to make it," Ibusak said, a small smile on his face as he dragged his bags behind him.

"I thought Marui would die for sure! He was on his deathbed so many times, I counted fifty just yesterday alone!" I exclaimed patting the ravenette's back watching in slight amusement as he jerked forward with the force.

"Yeah, I was worried too. You're okay now right?" Ryoko looked over at Marui who still had visible signs of stress on his face.

"I'm fine, I would have been better if you guys actually slept in your own rooms rather than meeting up in mines to play games." Although he was speaking, it seemed like only the first two words were heard while the rest just went in one ear and out the other.

"I'm glad, I'm sure senpai would cry if we returned to the dorm with the news that one of our members were K.I.A," Yuki said, her orange ponytails bouncing with her excitement.

"But the whole thing went by in a flash, I honestly don't remember much of it," Megumi said, her eyes focused on the ground as she tried to recall some of the events that happened.

"Now that you mention it, I don't remember much either. Memory lost because of the stress?" Soma added in, his eyes looking around in wonder before he shook it off, "Oh well. I still remember the important parts at least."

As they continued to chat, my attention was caught by a certain Washoku Chef. Excusing myself from the group I walked over to where the brunette was standing beside a few of the other alumni's.

Noticing me, she placed her hands on her hips and turned her lips down into a disappointed frown, "Mikala, you completely ignored me this whole trip. It made me terribly sad, I thought I raised you better than tha-"

"Hinako-san, you did not raise me I only saw you like ten times in my entire life." My voice was monotone as I looked up at the heartbroken woman with a bored expression.

Sinking down to the ground, she began to cry crocodile tears, "So mean, I literally lived with you for a whole month."

Snapping my fingers in mock remeberence, I spoke out a sarcastic, "You right, I had forgotten." I could tell the older woman was about to throw a fit before suddenly she looked off the side and ran off somewhere else.

Curious, I looked over to where she ran only to spot her in front of Soma, Megumi, and Shinomiya-senpai. Joining the other alumni's, I followed them to where the small group was.

"No, no, no, I won't let you pull the rug from under us, Shinomiya-senpai," Hinako spoke with her hands on her hips as she glared at the red-haired man who looked away ignoring the girl.

Shaking my head at Hinako's childishness, I was oblivious to the blonde haired man who was walking up to me with a flower in his hand until he stood in front of me, "Mikala-kun, join me at my restaurant after you graduate. I'm sure you'll bring in lots of customers with your looks and skills." I sweatdropped at his words and slowly backed up as he kept walking forward with the rose in his hand.

"N-no thanks, senpai, I already have a plan for after graduation," I said, gently pushing his hands back that held the thornless yellow rose.

"Oh really, what's that?" I jumped when Gin-san arrives, his hand resting on my shoulder as he looked down at me in curiosity. The other alumni's also looked over at me, waiting for my response.

I felt my insides begin to scrumble from all the attention but by the lack of heat I felt in my face I knew I wasn't blushing or showing a sign of how anxious I felt. "I am gonna take over my Gramps restaurant In Thailand. Pere promised me he'll give it to me if I graduate."

The alumni's looked shocked, I guess that wasn't the response they were expecting, "You're not gonna work at one of your mom's places?"Hanako asked, her head tilting in confusion. "I thought you wanted to take over her restaurants."

Shaking my head I decided against answering her question and instead focused on Gin-san. "Hmm, I see. Anyway, instead of you lot fighting over who gets who how about recruiting them for the assessment?" The alumni's nodded while Megumi and Soma looked confused. I was also confused but I didn't show it.

Gin-san explained what the assessment was and what we did which cleared up the confusion, well, mostly. Megumi was still confused about why people were trying to recruit her. I almost pity the clueless girl.

"Anyway, Yukihira-kun, you are always welcome to work here at the resorts." One of the staff members spoke to the red-haired boy.

Soma smiled at the man but declined his offer and told him he had to look after his family restaurant. After that, we all bid our goodbyes, I was about to walk off with the others when Hanako stopped me.

"Oh right Mikala, your dad called me last night, it seems he heard about me being a judge at the training camp this year." I looked at the smiling woman, my heart racing as I waited for her to continue. "He wanted me to tell you congratulations of passing the camp."

Sighing, I shook my head at her words, I knew she was lying based on how rushed her words came out. "No, he didn't, knowing him he probably said something cocky like him getting over 400 dishes served on the breakfast rush or how he was already well known around the school by this time."

Hanako let out a small gasp, "How'd you know? Those were his exact words." Shaking my head, I opened my mouth to respond with how my pere never changes but was cut short when a loud honk rattled the air signaling that I was time to go.

Waving goodbye, I ran towards the exit. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, too caught up in my own thoughts to hear Hanako yelling out my name until it was too late. By the time I heard the shouts I had already ran face first into the glass door.

I heard some shouts of concertation but there was also the booming laughter from Shinomiya and Hanako. Feeling numb from the embarrassment, I slowly stood up before turning around and flashing a thumbs up and yelling, "I'm okay!"

Only to be startled by Gin-san yelling out, "No, you're not you're bleeding, someone go stop the blood!" Raising my hand, I touched under my nose to find out that I am indeed bleeding. It was when I saw the actual blood that I felt the throbbing in my nose and the lightness in my head.

My vision started to grow blurry which confused me because there was no way I ran into the door that hard, did I? I didn't have time to ponder on it because I noticed by blurry vision began to tilt sideways before completely filling with darkness as I passed out.
