The Possibilities

Preparing

   

   I wake up to Edward smiling and stroking my hair. I grin at him. "Hey, sexy boy-" I stop myself blushing looking down fast. He lifts my head up to face him. "No need to be embarrassed about saying that even though it may not true. At least not what I think," He says. I see the sparkle in his eye again. I lean over him to check the time on my alarm clock. I notice how close I am to him and immediately feel hot and tingly. 

   I suddenly get off him slowly. He watches me and I am about to get up more when my arm twists making me lose balance and fall back onto him. Just fucking great Amber you klutz. I think to myself. I laugh and apologize. He speaks and it is almost like an angel when he spoke. "It's okay just don't do it again." I look up at him and he winks and smiles. 

   I remind him that tonight is the dance. It is a 'Fairy tale' theme tonight. But I am pretty sure I am in a fairy tale now with this lovely man/boy coming into my life and making me smile more than anyone could ever make me. I have not smiled this much since my Grandmother Kim was alive. I was always sad after her passing but ever since he came along I have never felt so happy like this in a long time. 

   "So me and my best friend Scar are going out for a little to buy dresses for the prom," I tell him. He sits up and nods. I realize he has no shirt on. I blush and almost faint at the scene. He notices me staring and smiles. I realize I am staring and I snap out of it quickly getting my things. I tell him I will be back and kiss him on the cheek. 

   I head down the stairs with my purse in hand. I meet up with Scar at her house and we decide to go into my car. We talk about the dance and about Edward. We head into the mall and straight over to the prom dress area which is popular since it's the holiday at Macy's. 

   After a while of looking for dresses I am about to give up when I see the perfect dress right out in open in the back. I scamper fastly over to it and Scar has a dress already as she follows me fastly on my heels. She gasps as do I. "I found the one!" I shriek happily. I go into the fitting room with her as I try it on she grins widely. I look into the mirror and gawk at myself. This is the one. I put my clothes back on and we go to the checkout. 

   The price of the dress was $200 but it was worth it and I had enough. We leave with content and I drop her off with a goodbye. "He will love you in that. He'd be crazy not to," She says as she gets out of the car. I smile cause I know exactly who she is talking about. I head home with a big smile on my face. As I get in I go upstairs and hear Edwards voice in my dad's room. I look in and my jaw almost drops at what I see. There he is standing looking fine in a black tux. I smile and feel all tingly again as I walk towards my room and flop down onto my bed. 

   Man oh man! Why did this fine man come into my life and make me happy. I am interrupted of my thoughts when I feel someone flop next to me. I look over at the person and it is Edward. "I saw you, you know," He smiles looking at me. I burn up and giggle. He then starts to tickle my ribs and I laugh uncontrollably. "Stop!" I giggle. He doesn't stop and I suddenly can't breathe. "I can't breathe Ed!" I giggle not able to breathe it hurts. He stops and pulls me close. 

   "Thank you," I say out of breath. He strokes my hair as I am cuddled into his chest I instantly fall asleep. I hear my alarm clock go off and I snap up. "Shoot the dance is in 20 minutes I need to get ready!" I yell. He gets up and goes to see my dad to help him get ready. My mother comes up to help me and admires my dress. "Edward will love it," She smiles while helping me in my dress and makeup. My mom goes downstairs and announces me to come down. "Now presenting Amber Boggs!" She yells. I am a little scared and wait a little shaking. 

   What the fuck is going on I am never this nervous. She then yells again. "Amber get your cute butt down here!" I slowly walk down the stairs shaking. I am a deep red when I slowly look up at everyone standing. Edward stares at me like I am an angel that just fell from heaven to earth. "Wow,"he says. I blush and look down. I walk over to my dad and mom saying goodbye and bend down to James and he hugs me and says I look amazing. I thank him and link my arm with Edwards to go outside. 

   We head into a limo that my dad had nicely rented for us. I go out the sunroof and wave bye to them. I sit back down and he is staring at me lovely. I lean my head on his shoulder. He leans his head on mine. We are on our way to the prom the most exciting time of my life awaits me. The junior prom awaits me.
