A/N Sorry I took so long to update! As I said, this chapter will be mainly filler but there's a bit of Narry and build-up for the next arc so, you know...

I'll update twice tomorrow if everything goes as planned, wish me luck!

Anyway, enjoy reading and don't forget to comment!!

(Harry’s POV)

“Harry, Niall Horan is waiting for you outside.” My heart skipped a beat. Niall is waiting for me?

“What for, Mrs. Alvord?” I ask, my head tilting slightly to the side. I was with my CR group, helping with the ideas for that stupid debate.

“The class project. I asked permission for his teacher to relieve him of his class in order for him to talk to you about the research and ideas you gathered.” She explained “You are to meet outside, in the patio where you go for break. Take your ideas on a piece of paper.”

I nodded nervously as I took the paper in hand. Lauren patted my shoulder in order to comfort me while Allison had stupid this evil smirk on her face. She's been worryingly calm ever since Niall snapped at her... maybe he did scare her.

But I still can’t believe I’m stuck working with her, to be fair.

“Hey, Harry!” Niall waved from the table across the patio, a sheet on his other hand.

I ran over to him with a smile on my face, which I tried to shake away but to no avail. Getting over him will be more difficult than I thought… “Hey Niall! Ready to work for once?” I laughed

“Yeah, these meetings we’ve had never actually result in any proper work.” He chuckled “So, is that your research?” he said pointing to the sheet on my hand.

“Yep, that’s yours?” I said as I sat down next to him and scooted closer by instinct, then slid away. “So… uh… should you start?"

“Ok… I’m sorry for what I’m ‘bout to say, lad.” He patted my shoulder giving me a pity look, then looked to his little text. “Well, according to my side of the class, and I quote, ‘Homosexuality is wrong in the eyes of God for He has demanded there to be continuity to the human race and that cannot be reached if homosexuals exist. One clear and known example is the story of Adam and Eve, for without these two entities, humanity itself would not exist. As plainly seen in the story, a man and a woman are needed to give life to a new human being and this cannot be achieved by two people of the same gender. This is our foundation to the belief that homosexuality is wrong.’.”

Niall looked at me and gasped, pushing me into a friendly hug as he saw a tear rolling down my cheek. “I really think this is the worst project I could be in, Niall… I can’t do it” I stuttered, trying not to cry more.

“Come on, buddy.” He comforted me as he rubbed circles on my back “I know it’s difficult for you, I really do. Talking shit about yourself and your people sounds like the worst thing ever, but in your conscience, you know you’re lying.”

“If I’m like this right now, how will I be during the actual thing? I’ll burst into tears, Niall, I hate this… I hate this all…”

Niall cupped my cheeks and held my face close to his. I blushed, why was he doing this? “Listen to me, Harry. I know it’s difficult, but you seriously cannot act like this!”

“How am I supposed to act then!?” I snapped, shouting at him, slapping his hands away from my face. The look on his face was understanding, but hurt as well. The hurt is his eyes was more noticeable than ever but… why was he almost crying “N-Niall… I’m so sorry, I…”
