Chapter 5

A/N Here's another chapter bc the other one was short af. I got to update twice in one day, yay!

My eyes weren’t quite open but I could feel I was laying in something. Something soft and cuddly, like a bed. I still couldn’t move, but I could hear my breathing and a couple of voices. They were very faint, as expected. I couldn’t hear anything that well.

“So let me get this straight.” Said one of the voices. It sounded familiar. A woman’s voice, but someone older than Lauren. An adult. “He was talking to you and then a girl named Allison came up to him and told him he knew his secret?”

Wait, are they talking about me? About what happened?

“That’s right, ma’am. As soon as Allison said she knew Harry’s secret, he lost it. He looked like he was dead. He was standing there, not talking, not moving, almost zombie-like. Then he lost consciousness and me and Lauren called the paramedics.”

That’s a voice I can recognize everywhere.

“L-Lou…” I managed to breathe out, my eyes slowly creaking open. All I could see was a blurry image of a couple standing right in front of me. I could see we were in my room. The boy, Louis, looked directly at me with what I felt was a surprised look on his face.

“Harry!” I heard him scream and run towards me giving me a really big, tight hug. My breath was cut short all of a sudden from how tight his embrace was. I felt safe, though. “Are you okay!? Are you feeling fine?”

Suddenly, a burst of energy awoke inside me and ran through my body. My eyes shot open, and I hugged Louis back. “I’m feeling good, bro, thank you!” My vision cleared rapidly and I looked over Lou’s shoulder. “Mrs. Thirlwall, what are you doing here? We don’t have any appointments until next week.”

“Hello Harry” she chuckled. Jade Thirlwall is my psychologist, she’s been helping me through school, family and everything in between. “Your friend here, Louis, called me and said you had fainted. As we discovered, although it wasn’t a serious one, you did have a panic attack.”

“Oh…” I let out a sigh. Allison, that bitch, she did all this to me. I swear I’ll fucking murder her if she comes at me with any nasty comments.

“Oh, Mrs. Thirlwall?”

“Yes Harry?”

“How long have I been sleeping?”

Louis chuckled and butted in the conversation “She got here a few minutes ago so she wouldn’t know.” He explained in between laughs “You’ve been out cold for the past few hours. It’s 9pm right now, you’re home and Gemma thinks you hit your head and passed out. That’s really all you need to know, I think.”

All I need to know? Did something happen when I was unconscious?

“What about Mrs. Thirlwall? Gemma knows her and if I hit my head she wouldn’t be here.”

“I told her I called you to the office and you hit your head on the way there” she explained “Since you hit your head on the way there, I wanted to check in on you and came here.” Wow, how nice of Mrs. Thirlwall to go through the trouble of coming here and making up excuses for the sake of keeping me safe.

“Thank you for everything, Mrs. Thirlwall” I said smiling at her. I looked up at Louis who was still by my bed and smiled at him too. “And you too, bro. Don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks.

“Wait… where’s Lauren!?”

“She had to go home, but I’ll text her saying you’re okay.” He smiled and I smiled back “Will you go to school tomorrow?”
