Chapter 1

A cool breeze blows through the spring day while the sound of ocean waves crashing against rocks and seagulls squeaking for communication of the peaceful day. The bright blue sky's have very few clouds that for wisps thought the sky. Shining bright as ever the golden rays hit the green grass of the place called Whale Island, home to Gon Freecss and now to Killua Zoldyck.

The two boys who have now turned 17 years old have lived on this island for a couple years with Gon's aunt, Mito. They have ventured far and wide traveling for fun, money, and just discovery but always come back home. So far they've been home for a week since their last trip and are lying in the grass upon a hill and looking at the sky laughing at old memories.

"I can't believe you did that." Killua laughed as Gin told him about a childhood story.

"Yeah, I was a pretty weird kid, wasn't I?" Gon said with a light chuckle.

"Weird doesn't even begin to explain it. How could you eat worms for lunch, for a week, while Mito didn't even know they were in her food she made." Killua burst out laughing harder than before because he recalled what Gon said.

"I get it, I was stupid. Plus, it wasn't as bad as Aunt Mito's punishment." He whined as Killua continued laughing.

"What was it?"

"Of course you had to ask." Gon grumbled. "She made me run down to the fish market everyday giving them worms and doing her shifts."

Killua shrugged, "Doesn't sound that bad."

Gon shivered, "Not until you see a fishes insides." Killua laughed at Gon's reaction to his old punishment.

"Trust me, it's not as bad as seeing the inside of a human." Killua said with a smirk and eyes closed.

Gon gagged, "Gross. Did your family really do that?" Killua nodded.

"Yep, and trust me, I puked the first time but you get used to it."

"Yeah, if your crazy." Gon said getting a slight shove from Killua. Gin gave a shove back and soon the two were having a wrestling match and had each other in painful grips.

"Surrender." Killua said pulling harder on Gon's arms.

"Never. You surrender." Gon said while putting his leg-lock grip tighter around Killua's neck.

"Both of you surrender before I make you." An angry voice said and they both froze before moving their heads to see Aunt Mito glaring at them.

"Aunt Mito/Mito." They said in unison while letting go of each other and scrambling to their feet with nervous grins on their faces. A sweat dropped for both their faces and Mito sighed.

"Idiots." She grumbled. "Alright, come on. It's time for dinner." Mito sighed while turning around and heading back towards the small brick house that they lived it.

"But its only 4:30 pm, plus the sun isn't even setting." Gon argued and Mito glared back turning both their faces white.

"Grandma is hungry and eats early so she can sleep sooner, no arguing or questioning. Got it?" She said and both nodded. Aunt Mito smiled, "Good, let's go then."

Killua grumbled and Gon was still a little freaked out. "Why can't your great grandma drop already? I can't stand eating this early." Killua whined and Gon rolled his eyes.

"That's mean, Killua. Plus, I like having her around, she keeps Aunt Mito company." Gon said and Killua had to agree with his statement because then Killua didn't have to have the awkward conversations with Aunt Mito.

"I wonder what's for lunch?" Gon asked as the reached the front door.

Killua shrugged, "My Guess is fish dumplings." Gon shrugged also as they made their way to the bathroom to wash their hands. Walking back down the creaky wooden stairs the smell of fish dumplings filled their noses.

"Called it." Killua said proudly as they sat down awaiting the food.

"Hello boy, how was your chat?" Grandma asked and both boys smiled.

"Good/Great." Killu and Gon answered to the frail old woman who sits before them.

"Well, that's a good thing now, isn't it?" She said in her horsy voice by still sounded good and understandable.

"Alright, everyone. Food is ready." Aunt Mito called walking in with a plate full of dumpling which had to be filled with fish.

Grandma got giddy, "Oo, my special recipe." She said smiling as her granddaughter. Mito smiled back while placing a few on her grandmother's plate and sitting down.

Everyone went silent and put their hands together to think about the good things before thy eat. Luckily Killua had gotten used to doing this and had good things to be thankful for. "Alright, dig in." Aunt mito announced and both boys began grabbing food and placing on their plates before stuffing their faces.

While eating it was never quiet. Mito shared stories about her childhood-as did grandma-but also shared a lot about Gon. Gon would always get embarrassed or start laughing at the stupid things he did at such a young age. Sometimes, Killua would tell stories about his childhood and some other funny things that happened while meeting Gon. Everything was always lively.

Soon enough while there were only a few dumplings left, a knock of the door was made. "I'll get it." Gon said jumping up from his seat while the other theee continued to speak. He wondered over to the front door and unlocked it before slowly turning the golden colored knob and opening it to reveal and unexpected visitor.

"G-G-g.." Gon was speechless until the voice spoke before his in a nervous and lightly laughing deep voice. "H-Hey Gon. How are you? Been a while hasn't it?" The man said still leaving Gon speechless.

The man sniffed the air, "Is that Grandma's special fish dumplings?" He asked and Gon nodded.

"Would you like some, Ging?" Gon asked his father and the man smiled. "Sure."

He stepped into the house and made his way to the kitchen with Gon hot in his tail having a bazillion questions going through his head. A loud shriek came from aunt Mito while a warm smile came from grandma and a shocked expression from Killua. "What the hell are you doing here?" Aunt Mito shouted while storming to glared at Ging. He nervously smiled and stepped away.

Ging clearness his throat to speak but got cut off with a hug from his grandmother. "Hey, Grandma. How are you?" Ging asked and grandma whacked his arm lightly, "Should've came and asked when I was younger years ago." She said laughing and a small chuckled came from Ging.

"Hey Killua." Ging said looking over at the friend that Gon had told his so much about a while ago.

"I'll ask again, why are you here?" Mito said angrily. Ging shrugged.

"I was passing through and the ship I was on made a pit stop here for the day. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning, don't wor.." Ging was cut off again by a hug but from an angry aunt.

"Should've come sooner." She mumbled earning a chuckle from everyone.

"So, Ging." Gon started earning his attention. "Why'd you stop by the house?"

Ging breathed. "Like i said about the ship but the reason I stopped by here was to ask you and your friend for help." He explained earning a curious look from both boys.

"Help with what?" Killua asked.

Ging breathed in and out before answering, "I'm searching for someone." Everyone was shocked. Completely.
