Chapter 7
Kuma Imia reintroduced herself the the three young men in front of her. She held out her hand and Gon shook it. "Gon Freecss. As you know." The pair chuckled.
Kuma turned to the white haired pot and smiled, "Who may you be?" Killua was about to answer but Kuma interrupted him. "You also look familiar." Kuma hummed staring around his face. Killua was getting very uncomfortable and flustered by this pretty girl in front of him. "I knew it, you're a Zoldyck."
The blue eyes of his went wide, flabbergasted by how she knew which family he came from. "What?" Killua said, he heard exactly what she said but you know when people day what because of how shocked they are? Yeah, that's why he said that.
"I mean, it's really obvious. You have the jaw structure just like your mother's. And don't even get me started about your eyes, they are just like your fathers. Only brighter. Your slim, unlike your larger older brother, but I know you are as strong as your eldest brother. I can tell." Killua and Gon has no words and Leorio really didn't understand much, though he did go into his house that one time. "Although, you have many more expressions hidden in your eyes than your entire family."
"Hold up!" Killua shouted startling everyone on the floor. Even the ones who were already looking at this young girl in front of the two boys and Leorio. "How in gods name do you know my family?"
Kuma looked offended somehow. "How do I know your family? Why, my great-grandfather was a dear friend to your grandfather. Well, they were sort of like enemy brothers, but I saw him a lot. Did you know, your grandfather has a birthmark," Kuma was laughing and trying to breath to finished the sentence, "that looks like a knife, on his back! God, it was so hilarious when I first saw it. Though again, he told me never to tell anyone or he'd kill me, but I haven't seen his yet so I don't care."
Killua has never know much about his grandfather other than he had many enemies and lots of experience. He never knew his grandfather actually had a friend who was close enough like a brother. "Did my grandfather ever talk about our family?" Killua just had to ask. Gon wasn't to sure what the answer would be and how Killua would act to the answer.
"Oh yeah. All the time." Kuma stayed simply. The boys figured she'd continue but she never did. They kept motioning her to continue but Kuma seem oblivious.
"Did he talk about me?"
Kuma made an 'oh' face. "Well obviously, Zeno talked about the most skilled Zoldyck to ever live would be his grandson. And how amazing he was. So that must be you." Kuma talked about this stuff like it was no big deal but to Killua, it actually meant something.
"Anyways, nice to meet you tall person!" Kuma shook hand with Leorio.
"Nice to meet you, too, smaller person. I'm Leorio Paradinight. Your match was amazing." Leorio complimented her, "Best thing I have ever seen!"
"I know right! I was like bam bam, swish." Kuma said. 'She acts like a little kid', Killua and Gon both thought.
"Totally. And then you were like zoom zoom, boom."
'Then again, so does Leorio.' Killua and Gon laughed stupidly in their minds and made a weird face. "So, what's you guys want to meet my anyway? Did you want an autograph? If you want money, just sell it, and to show off, I'll take a picture with you."
Gon and Killua both thought that this girl was very self centered. They believed she cared that her reputation was good and could bribe people with her small fame. "We don't want a picture. Nor an autograph." Killua said rudely.
"Killua. No need to be rude." Gon elbowed him even though it was probably right to sound rude with Kuma, maybe they might see a side of her.
"Rude? That didn't seem rude." Kuma stared and all three looked at her confused. "I mean, time may have sounded more demanding and distant but it definitely wasn't rude. More of his opinion was stated. See, there are some times you can tell are rude and others are from people who think something and it comes out that way." Kuma wasn't making any sense to Gon right now nor Killua. Leorio understood everything word somehow.
"Preach! You don't know how many turns I talk and people think that I'm trying to act mean or rude. It's just me or they caught me at a bad time." Leorio complained.
Kuma snapped her fingers and nodded, "Totally. People think just because I'm powerful, means I look down in everyone. Not true at all!" Kuma looked a little annoyed to all of the boys. "Just because I have self confidence doesn't mean I'm a brat."
"It's like we have that same brain sometimes!" Leorio said amazed. Neither Killua nor Gon knew why Leorio was freaking out but they did know one thing, Leorio met his new best friend.
"Anyways, what can I do for you? After all, Old Man Ging is a good friend." Kuma asked Gon and Killua figuring Leorio didn't have a lot do to with why those two were here.
"Well, we was wondering if you could travel with us and help us become stronger. Gon's dad said you'd help us." Killua explained and Kuma looked like she was thinking.
Kuma hummed, "No I don't think so."
The men of three wore a surprised face because they'd figure Kuma would have accepted right away. "W-why not?" Gon said sounding a little desperate due to this being his father's wish.
"I'm not a bird. People can tell me what to do and keep me locked up. I'm free, ain't no one keeping me tied down." Gon became sad, Leorio didn't really care but noticed Gon and became sad, too, and Killua was about to go off. "Although, I do love traveling." Gon no longer hung his head low, he looked up to Kuma. "Plus I could take you guys to the best places ever. I mean, come on, you guys look like you've been in the same location for years. I think it's time you get some adventuring in. So here's a deal, I'll quit this place and help you train, but in return, you pay for my lunch and breakfast wherever we travel to. Sound good?"
Gon smiled, "Sounds great."
Kuma laughed and smiled at them, "Let me go back to get some of my stuff. You guys are welcome to wait in my living room or wait here."
Leorio rose his hand, "I vote living room." The three others laughed and the men followed Kuma up to her large penthouse. She somehow was able to get everyone through the security of her floor with no problems what so ever. "Woah! Awesome couch." Leorio ran and jumped in it instantly sinking into the soft cushions. "I could get use to this."
"Well don't, we won't be here long anyways." Killua said still kind of moody. Gon has no idea why for the first time in the past years.
Kuma laughed, "I won't take long, and I know the perfect sailor to take us places. You guys will love him."
