My Pain Laughs in the Face of Yours

Chapter Five

Newt's POV:

The tv surprised us all as it started showing a video of Thomas.

I sigh and can't help but feel sorry for Tommy. He has been through so much and gets so little in return. Many people have treat him wrong and he has done everything for them.

Another one popped up of him in the maze.

Shaking my head I rub my eyes and suck in a breath.

It was hard to see Thomas go through all this. I can't even begin to bloody imagine what it was like for him.

This only made my respect grow for him. A man who hasn't went off his rocker yet. A man who has been through hell and back. A man that deserves the world.

I looked over and all the girls were crying while the guys stare in horror. I was already told they were supernatural and I was even surprised to see the thousand year old vampire staring in horror and sympathy.

I chuckle and comment,"He's one crazy person and thats for sure."

Minho raised a hand and replied,"I second that."

Everything was quiet again and I could feel all of the sympathy through the room.

When the next thing popped up we all laughed and Minho screamed,"Probably the best time ever in the glade!"

Our mouths dropped open with the next one as one of the guys said,"I totally forgot he was a model and now he is totally famous."

The tv changed again to funny moments of Thomas.

Everyone was giggling and laughing and a girl said,"He was right about the Matt theory."

The rest of the pack or whatever agreed.

We all laughed hard at this one. It was hilarious and I swear I have tears running down my cheeks.

After that the tv shut off and I grab the ball from the back of the tv. After returning it I go to leave the hospital room but Thomas's hand grabs my wrist.

Looking back at him I ask him what he needed.

He scooted over with his eyes still closed and awkwardly maneuvered his arm to pat the spot beside him.

A blush creeps up my neck and I carefully climb onto the bed beside him. His arms wrapped around me and we were immediately cuddled together. It felt absolutely right and I started drifting off to sleep.
