I wish I could forget.
I wish I could forget how much I love you
I wish I could forget your laugh
I wish I could forget your smile
I wish I could forget the way you say my name
I wish I could forget how your eyes squint when you smile
I wish I could forget all of our memories together
I wish I could forget all my memories of you
I wish I could forget the parts of me I showed to you
And I wish you could forget too
I wish I could forget the way you still make me feel
I wish I could forget the future we built in the past
I wish I could forget the past
I wish I could forget every photo, letter, and message
I wish I had the strength to delete your photos, throw away your letters, and erase your messages
I wish I could think of you and not cry
I wish I could forget every intimate moment; intentional and the little ones I stole unknowingly
I wish I could forget seeing you cry and hearing your cracking voice
I wish I could forget the moment it had to end
I wish I could forget all my feelings for you
I wish I could forget how much pain you put me through
I wish I could forget my hurt and crying
I wish I could forget everything
i wish I could forget how much I love you
I wish I could forget you
I wish I could forget everything
But I still hang on,
In case I forget.
