"Hi my name Taylor. I'm new so I was wondering if-"

"I'm going to be late" I said quickly walking away.

"But" he started, but I was already around the corner.

He's bound to become popular and he talked to me. Why? It doesn't matter Lucy. I told myself. I'm going to get beaten for this I already know it. I shuddered at the thought.

I ignored it, put in my headphones, and pulled up my hoodie.

When I got to class I sat in the back and started reading.

A hand snatched my book. When I looked up I saw it was Lexi.

"Listen whore stay away from the new kid. He's mine. Its bound to happen, I mean look at me and then look at you."

I didn't dare speak. I simply nodded.

"Its good that you know your place" she said throwing my book in my face.

"Oops" she said mockingly.

I picked up the book and when I looked up she was looking at the doorway and adjusting her cleavage.

When I looked in that direction I saw Taylor looking around.

His eyes landed on me and he started to walk my way.

Lexi sat down at her seat and purred at Taylor, " there's a seat open next to me big boy."

"I don't have time for sluts" he said sharply, eyes going cold.

I flinched at the familiar coldness in his eyes.

He noticed me flinch and turned my way. I cowered down and whimpered.

"S-sorry" I said.

"What for?" His eyes no longer bearing the coldness I just saw.

I didn't answer.

He frowned and sat down next to me.

" you didn't let me finish before, but I was wondering if you could show me around. Or if we could hang out sometime. Here I'll give you my number"

He took my hand but I snatched it away, my reflex.

"I'm s-sorry I didn't mean to o-offend you." I said.

"Its good to know where the 'less fortunate' know where they belong. Isn't that right, Taylor?"

"Don't say my name with that filthy mouth of yours." He snapped.

I flinched again.

"I'm sorry babe" she purred.

He looked like he was about to kill her.

"Don't call me anything! The only one who will call me babe or sweetheart, anything like that is the one I love. I love this woman and I am committed to her."

Hearing that he had someone he loved made me feel weird, I couldn't describe it.

Lexi sat in her seat and sulked for the rest of the period.

The last few periods passed by uneventfully.
