A thick layer of silence fell over us as we stepped out of the door. It was so silent you could hear crickets.  The tension was so thick it would be hard to move around in the hallway.

"Hey Juliet?"

"Yeah Jason whats up?" He looked towards the ground and then back towards me. Avoiding eye contact as much as possible.

"Jason?"

"Will..Will." He stuttered. "Can i kiss you?" My cheeks flushed into the color of an apple.

"Yuuuuu..Yeah!" We stood there for a while when suddenly he started to lean in. Soon our lips were touching instantly creating fireworks. But it ended all to soon. After another small silence. It was Jason that spoke first.

"Hey Juliet!"

"Yeah?"

"Tag your it!"

"Really Jason so mature!" We ran and ran and ran. With a series of tags and re-tags. We played for probably two hours or at least it felt like it. The game went on forever, it was one of the happiest days of my life. Then we got to the old highway and he started running across. He didn't look where he was going, and the car was coming so fast. I yelled at the top of my lungs

"JASON WATCH OUT!" But it was to late, he was already gone.

*Present day*

That day was the worst day of my life I cryed until I couldn't cry anymore. Sometimes I still look back and wonder what if I had been it? Would I have been the one whom had gotten hit by that car? If we weren't friends would he still be alive? There are so many things that could have changed what happened that day. But I cant go back and change anything. He helped me know so many things and I love that about him but I am over him. It was time to finally let go. To set him free and live my life and this was Jason's story, not mine. He was an amazing best friend, boyfriend (for maybe two days) and an all around great guy. But this is where his story ends. Goodbye Jason. I will ALWAYS love you.
